Costa Rica

We rented a private Airbnb house that we will share with a few guests which will include a private chef. We are communicating details directly with those people. If you are staying in the Airbnb, please check in with us to coordinate room arrangements. Please see details below about our request for contribution to our festivities. If you aren't staying at the Airbnb, details for the nearby resort are below.

There are several room options, each including the all-inclusive package. Tons of food options! We've been to this resort many times over the years so please feel free to reach out if you want help going over anything. Please see details below about our request for contribution to our festivities.

Contribution to Festivities

Your presence is your gift to us so we're covering the majority of the costs for our events. We're asking each adult guest who is staying at the Airbnb to contribute $200 towards all food for the weekend, alcohol, and catamaran. We're asking each adult guest who is staying at the Resort to contribute $100 towards the catamaran.

Flight

Liberia International Airport & Transportation

This is the closest airport (LIR). There are daily direct flights from LAX and DFW with tons of layover options. It's about 1.25 hours away from the Airbnb and the resort. There are several options to get to the Airbnb or resort: Ride CR: https://www.ridecr.com Costa Rica Amazing Trips: https://www.costaricaamazingtripscr.com Most major car rentals, taxis, and rideshare options are available. If you rent a car, the roads are safe and easy to drive. GoVision Costa Rica (Resort Transport Only): https://www.gocrvision.com This is the only way we’ve traveled. The Resort will reach out to you 6 weeks in advance and give you the option to book transportation directly through them. This costs approximately $170 each way. It is private transport so you don't share the fee with anyone. They can make stops on the way for you if you like. If you have other travel ideas in mind (like you want to explore), San Jose is 4 hours away and you would need to rent a car. We suggest you go through one of the car services above.

Travel Note

Weather

Weather apps haven't been reliable for us, but the weather has been consistent each time we visit. About 80% of the time its sunny from morning until about 3pm or 4pm. It usually rains from about that time into the night (sometimes for hours and sometimes not). The temperature is almost always about 85 degrees with around 80% humidity. Basically, its hot and UVs are high so please bring your sunscreen no matter what melanin you are.
