Meet our friends & siblings who are walking down the aisle with us!

Monica Geiger

Maid of Honor

Bear, you are the only person in my life who could fill the shoes as my Maid of Honor. I know I tease you about how I wanted mom and dad to send you back when you were born so I could get a dog, but I’m so glad they didn’t listen to me. You are one of the biggest blessings in my life and I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I didn’t have you to grow up with. I thank mom and dad every day for giving me the best friend I didn’t think I wanted but definitely needed.

Brendan Hack

Best Man

Brendan is a phenomenal water polo player and the best brother I could ask for. We met through what was essentially an arranged friendship but it’s turned out pretty great for the both of us. One of our favorite accomplishments is convincing our parents to watch esports with us and convince them that if real estate doesn’t work out we’d be able to use it as a fallback career- “they get paid how much??” We look alike to about 50% of the people we meet so if you run into Brendan please tell him how much you think he looks like me.

Lauren Kerner

Best Woman

The best way to describe my relationship with Lauren would be to quote her dad “they aren’t just sorority sisters they are actual sisters”. Our friendship has blossomed over the years and has led us to take many fun trips, share sacred Passover meals, and enjoy countless memorable wine/Sangria nights. Lauren would say she’s my biggest fan and came to so many of my volleyball games, but I hope she knows (and I probably don’t say it enough), but I am her biggest fan. She is one-of-a-kind in spirit, brainpower, and her ability to love and impact those around her. She continues to make the world a better place and I know that wherever she moves to next she is going to hit the ground running to make a difference and accomplish great things.

Kyle Trush

Groomsman

Kyle is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. Kyle and I spent a few years battling at CDM and decided to keep that going at UCI. We’ve had tons of fun going to the beach, kickin' it back with the boys on weekends, and getting Laventina’s pizza after long practices. If you see Kyle at the wedding make sure you remind him about the beach practice where I beat him for first in our team bodysurfing competition, he loves to hear that story.

Cailend Robbins

Bridesmaid

I had heard Ty and some of our friends talk about how amazing this “Cailend” was for a few months before I actually ever met her in person. Well, they definitely weren’t exaggerating and I am fortunate that I’ve grown so close to her over this past year. It might seem like such a short time, but I feel like I’ve known Cailend my whole life. She is a phenomenal photographer(she took our engagement photos), an amazing chef, and someone who is always down to plan a fun trip or outing. When it came down to choosing people to stand by me on the big day, I knew I needed her to be there with me. Her optimism, selflessness, and the love she has for her friends and family is contagious and I consider myself very lucky to have her as a close friend.

Alan Robertson

Groomsman

Alan is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. Alan is tied for the second-best golfer in the house with Chris, a pretty great accomplishment if you ask me. If you see Alan ask him who the best golfer in the house is. Alan’s two favorite things are bowling and losing in fantasy football. Speaking of bowling, we were starting to really push the limits before COVID hit, like putting a spin on the ball and stuff. It’s a shame all that hard work will have gone to waste, he’ll be lucky if he can get the ball down the lane without bumpers when the alleys open back up.

Jordan Dunn

Bridesmaid

Jordan is my favorite bad influence friend (just kidding, she is a very smart and responsible accountant), but somehow every time she visits we end up incapacitated and walking for MILES to our destination instead of taking an Uber like normal people. Even though I’ve only known Jordan since double days at USC, I feel like we’ve been friends for so long and share so many fun memories in that time. Between pretending to work out at the Lorenzo, studying for class -or in her case for the CPA exam, and living with my family during the 4th of July last summer we’ve grown so close. She is one heck of a songwriter, loves her spicy margs, and I am so lucky to have her standing by my side on the big day!

Brendan Fisher

Groomsman

Brendan is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. When he’s not busy taking bomb mirror selfies Brendan is playing guitar, writing beautiful music, or shooting guns out in the hills. Our interests? Glad you asked- every time we catch up we like to spend the first-hour sharing Star Wars memes we found while we were apart, and then spend the second-hour quoting youtube videos we loved in high school (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lzf8kfHY6A) “Bulk buys”. Pick a quote and say it to Brendan if you see him at the wedding.

Lena Latour

Bridesmaid

When I was planning to ask Lena to be my bridesmaid I had no idea it would be at her garage/apartment sale where she and her partner Marcus were selling all their belongings to move to Holland. But… things don’t always go as planned and though I am bummed she won’t be on the same continent anymore, I am so excited about this next chapter for her and for our friendship. Lena is one of the most genuine, honest, and kind people I know and we’ve had so many fun memories from the dorms, living at 40th street in Newport, Stagecoach, UCI Dodgeball, and wine nights and I am excited to add traveling to visit her to that list.

Matt Skinner

Groomsman

Matt is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. Matt hasn’t been to the states in quite some time so if you have a hard time understanding his Australian accent just be patient with him. One year at Halloween Matt, Dani, and I decided to do a group costume so we went as the famous trio “The Blues Brothers and a Cat”. Matt loves snowboarding, music, and making olive oil in the hills of Bosa, Italy. Matt describes his taste in music as “anything they play on Triple J” so if you see him at the wedding as him what his favorite Like a Version cover is.

Emily Blair

Bridesmaid

I met Emily the way I’ve met most of my friends-through volleyball of course. However, aside from volleyball, we lived together my senior year in Newport and that’s where our friendship really blossomed. Our shared love for all things Harry Potter, Taylor Swift, and throwback 90’s-2000’s jams remind me of such fun memories from our time in college. Emily is one of the hardest working, driven, and accomplished people I know and I have so much respect for her dedication to her friends, family, and career. Even though we don’t see each other too often (Emily is in the middle of PA school), whenever we do, it feels like no time has passed and I know we’ve established a lifelong friendship.

Chris Swieca

Groomsman

Chris is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. Chris is tied for second-best golfer in the house with Alan, a pretty great accomplishment if you ask me. If you see Chris ask him who the best golfer in the house is. Chris is definitely the best dressed in the house though, which honestly isn’t that difficult considering I choose not to match about 80% of the time and Alan is colorblind. Chris is currently getting his masters at USC, putting him, Alan, and me one step closer to our matching Newport Coast mansions.

Jamie Hack

Bridesmaid

It’s crazy to think that I’ve known Jamie since she was 11. We’ve grown up together and even though I wasn’t family then, we are now. There’s never been a time where I’ve thought of her as anything other than a sister. She is so strong-willed, adventurous, creative and I think those are some of the reasons why we get along well and have gotten so close.

Evan Geiger

Groomsman

Evan is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. The kid loves gin, drinks it like it’s going out of style. Dude’s never met a gin he didn’t like. Is he 21? I don’t know, haven’t seen his ID, can’t say one way or another. Can he throw it back? Absolutely. Does he prioritize it over meeting cute girls his age? Maybe. Definitely once. If you see Evan at the wedding please ask him what I mean by this. Please don’t ask me, that’s not the point. I’ve known Evan for about seven years now and it’s been really fun to watch him grow up and glow up. Hopefully, by the time the wedding rolls around he’s still rocking the nasty flow he had at the time this was written, I’m a big fan.

Victoria Dennis

Bridesmaid

Victoria aka VickyD8 will be in my life (and my phone) forever. I probably have 50+ videos of Vic doing something funny from our volleyball days still saved in my camera roll that I will always cherish. Our locker-room dance parties before games, UCI dodgeball, weekend pre-games, and late night runs to the donut shop will always hold a special place in my heart. Since I’ve known Vic l I’ve witnessed and grown to love many of her unique traits specifically the way she eats cereal, her killer dance moves, and her uncanny ability to always run into someone she knows from La Verne, California the small town where she grew up. Another fun fact is that we share the same Jimmy John’s order- the sandwich with no onions. It was a match made in heaven and I’m excited to have Vic in my wedding.

Justin Papa

Groomsman

Justin is a phenomenal water polo player and a great friend. We met at CDM Polo where he had an amazing career, but if you were to ask him what his greatest accomplishment in high school was, he’d probably tell you it was writing the script for the critically acclaimed student film, Puerta de las Estrellas, a neo-western samurai influenced short film, starring me, Tynan Hack, as the dastardly villain, Jose “el sucio” Sanchez. We got 100% on this project. A few years back Justin brought me on to help him babysit the CDM girl’s water polo team and their parents. We had a lot of fun yelling at refs and dealing with team drama together.

For all the days along the way
