Rewind to 2011, History class. I am one of the first one's in class, and in walks Tyler Scott: Tall, dark and handsome! I am blown away. I got home that day and told my mom that "I met my future husband in History class!" She rolled her eyes and laughed it off. Each class I inched closer and closer to Tyler until we were sitting next to one another, flirting here and there. I saw him around, on campus, quite a bit, doing everything I could to make sure our paths crossed each day! After much persistence (on my end) we were officially exclusive. We were inseparable and I was head over heels! He took me home to meet his family right before Spring Break, and let's just say Spring Break ended up being Spring Heart Break! Fast Forward 8 years later. Denver, CO, on a beautiful October afternoon. The temperature was cooler, but the sunshine felt wonderful! I was going to a coffee shop, in Cherry Creek, for an interview. I walked in, scanned the room, looking for the girl I was meeting, and there he was, sitting in the very back booth with his AirPods in, reading a very large textbook. My jaw dropped and I exclaimed, "Tyler Scott?!!!" He lifted his gaze and we stared at each other for at least 10 seconds! I said, "What are you doing here?!" And he went on to tell me all about his life and how he got accepted into residency at CU. I think we were both relieved to see a familiar face. Nothing like a little southern comfort in the Midwest! Fast forward from October 2019 to March 2020. We finally decided to go grab a coffee and catch up. We went back to Aviano, the same coffee shop we ran into one another at, and the rest is history!
