We met online - yes, that way - with zero expectations beyond hanging out and getting to know each other. Neither of us was ready for anything serious… Life, however, had other plans. What started as casual quickly became something undeniably easy. From the very beginning, being together felt comfortable and homey. No matter where life took us, it was clear we would be in each other’s lives in some way. After a few twists of timing and a little growing up, we found our way back to each other, and this time everything fit. We were older, softer, more grounded, and finally ready for the kind of love that doesn’t rush or demand - it just fits. What followed was a quiet, steady kind of love - the kind that heals without asking and softens without effort. We found safety in each other. Where we once expected friction, we were met with patience. Where we anticipated walls, we found unconditional understanding. We laughed often, said the same thing at the same time so often that “jinx” had to be retired, traveled together, built our little zoo together and shared our hopes and dreams for life. Marriage became real not in one grand moment, but in many small ones - moments that added up to a future we could both see clearly, decades down the line- healed, happy, and still choosing each other. Marriage didn’t feel like a leap - it felt like the natural next step to a love that was already steady, safe, and full of joy. Tyler proposed at The Vic in Buckeye, Arizona, with a beautiful surprise and some of our favorite people waiting to celebrate. There were lots of tears, so much joy, and an easy “yes.” We’re getting married because we found peace in each other.
