Rental cars & awesome self-guided tours from a local couple are available through this company.
A wonderful way to get to see the forest if you're not feeling for a big hike- the guided tour is on golf carts, and is fun and beautiful. An eagles nest at the top makes seeing eagles likely, and the view is amazing.
If you'd like to go whale watching, this is who we recommend. Woman-owned, small boats, personalized experience.
We encourage all of our visitors to learn about the local LingĂt culture. If you plan on doing some shopping, the Sealaska Heritage Institute is a great place to start. You can also find local, Indigenous-made earrings and other products at many shops downtown!
Ride the tram up or down, and you can also hike up or down (Mt Roberts Trail). Pretty busy with tourists but a lovely little adventure.
There's a ton of trails in Juneau to enjoy & explore. Please keep in mind the bears are out, and brush up on your bear safety. We suggest carrying bear spray and learning how to use it, which can be purchased at our local Costco, Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, or Foggy Mountain :)
Probably the best food in Juneau. Ty believes their sugar cookies change lives
If you want a fancy dinner, this is the (only) spot we suggest! Ty's favorite is spaghetti & meatballs. The n/a drinks are also very fun!
This place has an awesome n/a drink menu! Very fun, we love amalga
A nice place to sit and have a drink and eat some french fries in Auke Bay. The root beer is good!
The Sandbar has the best fish and chips in Juneau. It is a dive bar. I recommend getting the big boy to go and eating it at the beach- try Auke Rec!
This is our friend's fishing charter company in Tenakee. If you're planning a trip to Tenakee as part of your stay, we recommend Fishing Bear Charter's for lodging and fishing charters.
