Question
I don't live in Juneau, should I come? It costs like a billion dollars

Hello! Yes, traveling to Juneau in the summer is no joke. Flights are expensive. Hotels are expensive. Rental cars, expensive. We wish we could make this easier! We decided to send invitations to a lot of folks we love, and don't expect everyone to come. We want you to feel loved, welcomed, part of our celebration- and we want you to feel NO PRESSURE to travel for this wedding if it creates any emotional or financial stress in your life. Our ceremony is small so we are unable to invite every out-of-town guest to the ceremony. The wedding celebration afterward will be very casual (think hot dogs), so if coming all this way for that doesn't feel good, we completely understand!

As soon as possible would be great, but by June 19th at the latest.

Can I bring my children?
Answer
Yes, please! Kids are welcome at the wedding celebration, because they are more fun than the rest of us. Bring whatever your family needs to be comfy and have a good time.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
What I would do to have an answer to this question. I have no idea! You will likely want at minimum, a raincoat and rubber boots if you're coming from out of town.

Is the methodist camp a church?
Answer
No, it's just a nice, relaxed space we can all hang out. There is an indoor lodge and many large outdoor spaces we'll be enjoying. This will not be a religious event.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony and celebration?
Answer
Both the reception and celebration is 'out the road' and we unfortunately don't have a way to transport folks. If you're coming from out of town, renting a car will be the way to go! You can check out Turo for this as well. Ubers and taxis are also an option. Please carpool if at all possible, there’s limited capacity at both venues!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes. You are required to be comfortable and wear something you enjoy wearing. If you're coming out of town, check the weather before packing your suitcase! The ceremony will be outside, so please dress for the weather. The celebration following will have both outdoor and indoor spaces. If you love to dress up, now’s your chance! If you don't love to dress up, come in your pajamas. If you wear something you think you SHOULD wear but actually hate and are itchy and hot in, we will make you go home to change. Choose wisely!
