While Lianne is originally from New Jersey, she has lived all over the country, spending a few years in Hawaii before moving to Illinois. Similarly, a southern boy from Alabama, Tyler has lived everywhere from Wyoming to Georgia, spending a few years in Shanghai before moving to Illinois where he met Lianne. They matched on Facebook dating and the rest was history. Tyler and Lianne have both come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world geographically. What matters is the people you surround yourself with. They traveled the country (and world) to find each other and no matter where they go next, they know it will be together.

Tyler and Lianne went to New York just before Christmas 2021. While Lianne was familiar with New York City, Tyler had never been, so she was excited to show him around. Lianne first took Tyler to see the tree at Rockafeller Center. Tyler asked someone to take a picture of them in front of the tree but to make sure it’s a video (this is something they do regularly to be able to choose the best frame so Lianne wasn’t suspicious.) That is when Tyler got down on one knee and asked Lianne to spend the rest of his life with him. They had quite the audience and everyone around them was cheering for them. It was one of the happiest days of their lives.
