We met in the sixth grade, were friends during high school, and reconnected at UT Dallas as undergraduate students. What started out as two old friends becoming closer turned into a relationship filled with lots of laughs and genuine happiness. And from countless study dates to late night Netflix binging to traveling across the world, we fell in love with each other. It's crazy how things can be right under your nose for so long without you realizing. We are so glad to have found each other (even if it took us a little bit) and so blessed to have our friends and family by our side during this joyous time. Thank you all for your outpouring of love and support!
While moving into our new apartment (which I thought was an exciting step on its own), Tyler called me into our new bedroom and asked if I could help him with the last box. With a mixture of shock and delight, I realized that the final "box" was actually a ring box, holding the most beautiful ring ever (shoutout to Kathy Bigham and Bigham Jewelers! https://www.bighamjewelers.com), and I saw my now fiancé on one knee. After asking me to be his wife, which I promptly responded to with a "YES", Tyler and I celebrated our engagement with dinner at Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas, and a bottle of champagne. What started out as a great day ended up being the most exciting day of our lives to date.
