It all started at 602 Clubhouse—an apartment on the Newport Peninsula where fate had a little fun. Tyler lived downstairs in Apartment A, Julia lived upstairs in Apartment B, and together with their roommates, they quickly created their own real-life version of Friends—spending every day together, going out to Malarkys, hosting kitchen dance parties, Saturday duffy rides, and just enjoying each other’s company. Tyler and Julia started out as friends but immediately bonded over their love of music, football, and their closeness with family and shared ties to Tucson. Then came Fourth of July weekend, 2021, and during one of their signature Clubhouse kitchen dance parties, Tyler risked it all—and went in for a kiss. The rest, as they say, is history. Since that day, Tyler and Julia have built a life together—moving into their own place and bringing home their beloved pup, Lido, who will be turning two on their wedding day. Tyler proposed at Crystal Cove State Park on March 16th, 2024 (the day the planets aligned according to Tyler’s nephew, Cooper), with both of their families present for the special moment. And just when Julia thought the day couldn’t be more perfect, they arrived at dinner to find 15 of their closest friends, some who had flown in just to celebrate, waiting to surprise her. Now, they’re saying “I do” in San Carlos, Mexico, a place close to Julia’s heart and a happy place for them both. It feels like the perfect place to begin their next chapter, and they can’t wait to celebrate with the people they love most!
