Welcome Cocktail Event

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from cocktail dresses to jeans and tees.

We are so thrilled to welcome our guests to Detroit on Friday evening for anyone who would like to join us in kicking off the wedding weekend festivities! We have reserved a private space at The Whiskey Factory, so please come join us for a cash bar cocktail/social hour(s) anytime between 7pm - 11pm. The team at Detroit City Distillery has worked with us to design three custom cocktails--we are excited to share them with everyone! The Whiskey Factory is a bit off the beaten path (~2 miles from downtown hotels), so here are our transportation recommendations: - If you have a car or plan on renting a car, it will be less than a 10 minute drive. There is ample free parking on site at the Whiskey Factory. - Rideshare (e.g., Lyft or Uber) are easily available in Detroit and should cost ~$15 at the most each way. See the Travel section of our wedding website for information about downloading Lyft with a discount code. - Q-Line (will involve some walking to and from stations).

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Event attire: whatever makes you feel good. Dress to the nines if you please (the bride and groom sure will!), but if that's not your style, no worries! Go nuts and have fun with your wardrobe—we are lovers of fashion and colors and costumes and all things outside-the-box, so nothing is off limits style-wise for our wedding weekend events.

Detroit is cold and possibly snowy/icy in the winter, so please plan accordingly. There is a complimentary coat check at the venue. All wedding events (ceremony and reception) will occur indoors and in the same building. Parking at The Garden Theater is on-site and is complementary. If you will not have a car, transportation from suggested hotels to the venue is convenient using the Q-Line (closest station to the venue is Canfield station, then a 4 minute walk to The Garden Theater). Q-Line is a free public transportation service in Detroit. Information and station maps will be provided in welcome bags when you arrive at your hotel.
