Please kindly be at the venue no later than 5:45 to find your seats, ensure the ceremony begins promptly on time, and that you don’t accidentally see the bride!
Please plan to dress in Formal / Black Tie Optional. This means that tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are evening suits and midi, knee length or tea length dresses. The event will be entirely outdoors, please dress accordingly. Important Note: the ceremony and reception is held on turf. Please be mindful of the shoes that you decide to wear. We recommend avoiding a very thin heel. There will be a dancefloor during the reception. The cocktail hour will be on concrete.
Our wedding weekend is adults only. We kindly request that you please leave the kiddos behind. The only children attending are those who are part of the wedding party. Thank you for your understanding!!
You can begin to RSVP at anytime on the RSVP tab, however, RSVPs are due by March 15, 2023.
We kindly ask you not to take any photos during the ceremony as we want to have an 'unplugged' moment. We have an amazing photographer who is going to capture the day. We will share those photos with you as soon as we can! If you see someone taking videos or pictures during the ceremony, kindly ask them to put their phone away and enjoy the moment in real time. Thank you for your understanding!
Please park in Lot C in rows marked as "Reserved". They do not tow or ticket cars left over night. Parking is free at the venue. You'll find a map to the gardens including parking in this link (copy & paste into browser) https://www.hermannpark.org/media/uploads/PDFs/parking_map.pdf
In the unfortunate event that it rains, the ceremony will take place in the Celebration Garden under a beautifully decorated tent. The cocktail hour will take place indoors in the Pavilion and the reception will take place back under the tent in the Celebration Garden.
April is a beautiful time in Houston where the weather likely will be very warm in the day (high 70s to low 80s) and will cool down in the evening (high 60s to mid 70s). It's unlikely that the weather will be below 60 degrees Fahrenheit during this time of the year but we recommend checking the weather as it gets closer to the event.
