Our story begins on the last day of school before the Christmas break, surrounded by the festive spirit and the excitement of the upcoming holidays. Amidst the buzz of mutual friends, fate had something special in store. Later that day, Tyler saw Emily sitting in the cafeteria. Summoning his courage, Tyler walked up to her and struck up a conversation. What followed was a brief but unforgettable lunch period. Before parting ways, Emily asked for Tyler's number. Over the holiday break, they talked non-stop, leading up to their first date at Starbucks. What was supposed to be an hour-long date turned into the best four hours of conversation either had ever had. And from that moment on, their journey together began.

To celebrate our graduation from NC State, we decided to take a trip to the serene countryside of France. Surrounded by rolling hills, wild horses, and a sky full of stars, it felt like we had stepped into a fairytale. On the last day of our trip, we took a walk along a scenic path overlooking the charming house we were staying in. After a peaceful stroll through the woods, we decided to have some fun with an outdoor game of ping pong, overlooking the breathtaking French countryside. For about 15 minutes, Tyler hilariously chased the ball as it flew in every direction. During one of these moments, Tyler went to 'retrieve' the ball that had rolled into the bushes. When he returned, he smoothly dropped down on one knee and proposed.
