We met at a youth group "capture the flag" event in 2013. Emily really wanted to talk to Tyler, because she thought he was very cute. After a couple of months of getting to know one another, Tyler asked Emily out with a balloon. Emily asked Tyler to homecoming with a pie. We loved spending every day together before Emily went to college and Tyler went to basic training!

After some growing time apart, we came back together in 2019. We realized that God was leading us back to spend the rest of our lives together. And for that, we are forever grateful! We were taking Stephanie and Jess around Chicago during the Christmas holidays since they were in town. After a fun day walking around the Christkindlmarket and seeing the Chicago Christmas Tree, we made our way to the LP Zoo Lights. Emily was getting hangry and ready to get some dinner but Tyler had other plans in mind. He had her choose a tree to take a nice picture by. He found this secluded path with beautiful lit trees around and got down on one knee when she thought they were just getting a photo! Of course, Emily said yes and was mesmerized by her ring for the rest of the night (and everyday still)! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
