We first met in graduate school at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University in 2017. Tyler initially approached Becca at a class social during orientation week at O'Bannon's Taphouse at Northgate, and we immediately bonded over our mutual love of theater. That same orientation week, the head of the International Affairs program advised students to not date one another. We passed our programs, obtained our degrees, but failed that particular assignment. During graduate school, Becca indoctrinated Tyler into Texas culture - taking him all across the great state, and ensuring he explored the finest cuisines from Whataburger to brisket breakfast tacos from Bucc-ees. After graduate school, we both secured jobs with the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C., something that was not planned, but greatly appreciated, so shout out to bureaucracy for that one. Three years after moving to D.C., Tyler proposed to Becca one week before her birthday in 2022 on the rooftop terrace of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a venue that has grown significant in our relationship as time has gone on. Now, we are preparing for a new exciting chapter. Of course, marriage, but also, we are excited to take this show on the road...way down the road, overseas. In August 2023, we are moving to Stuttgart, Germany! We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in January 2024 in Dallas, TX. We were already excited, but at that point we will be long removed from good queso and barbecue, so it is going to be a great time for all. See y'all there! Prost!
