Where is the nearest airport?

Answer

The closest airport to Hatteras will be Norfolk, Virginia (ORF). From the airport, it is roughly a 2.5-3 hour drive to Hatteras. We recommend a rental car or contacting Hatteras Island Transportation to schedule a ride.

Are my young children invited?

Answer

While we love all of your little ones, because our venue is on the water and we want everyone to relax and celebrate safely we have decided to ultimately have an adults-only celebration. If you have traveled with children, we have made arrangements for child care at a near by home rented by the brides family. We appreciate you making arrangements and look forward to celebrating with you!

What is the wedding attire?

We will be having a semi-formal wedding, so we ask guests to wear semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're excited to celebrate with our loved ones, but our venue has limited capacity. If you received a plus one, it will be noted on your wedding invitation and visible when you RSVP. Due to limited seated and pre-planned seating arrangements, we will only be able to accommodate those guests listed on the invitation. If you believe there has been an oversight, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly request that guests refrain from taking photos during our ceremony. Our professional photographer will beautifully capture every moment, and we look forward to sharing these treasured images with you after the wedding. We hope you'll join us in being fully present, embracing the emotion and intimacy of our special day.

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we'll have an open bar at the reception. Our bartenders provide excellent service and appreciate gratuities for their attentive care.

Are there restaurants in the area you recommend?

Answer

Hatteras has a lot of great restaurants to fit all palettes and budgets. It would not be a complete trip without trying some of the fresh, local seafood. We love Tavern on 12 for lunch or dinner! Hatteras Sol is another fantastic option with good views of the boats and the Pamlico Sound. Breakwater Restaurant has a large deck overlooking the water and is home to some of the best sunsets on the island. Sonny’s is our favorite breakfast spot. Dinky’s is going to be the most upscale restaurant in Hatteras, offering great food, a great view, and a small, cozy atmosphere.

Yes, ample parking is available on-site for our wedding guests. For those planning to enjoy our celebration with a few drinks, we recommend using Hatteras Island Transportation, a reliable local cab service.
