Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception on Saturday. We do recognize that some of you may be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at our welcome event on Friday and at the optional lunch on Sunday.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invite for your +1!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the wedding and ceremony, our dress code is Black-Tie. Please wear floor length gowns or formal cocktail dresses for women and tuxes with black neckties or bowties for men. Weather permitting, our ceremony (~20 min) will be held outdoors with heaters - we will have a coat check at the reception. The rest of the weekend is completely up to you! At our welcome event on Friday, there is an optional western theme with cowboy boots.

Question

Which mountain should I go to? Are there any that are beginner friendly?

Answer

There are four mountains in the Aspen area. Please see below for a quick description: Aspen Mountain (also referred to as "Ajax" by the locals): Base is in downtown Aspen where we will be having all wedding festivities. Trails are all intermediate and above. Buttermilk Mountain: 10 min from downtown Aspen. Offers a more leisurely ski experience and friendly to beginners. The bride and groom will be skiing here on Sunday after the wedding. Aspen Highlands: 10 min from downtown Aspen. Like Ajax, all trails are intermediate and above. This is considered the most technical of the 4. Also home to the infamous Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro if you are keen to spray champagne inside a cabin halfway up the mountain (we recommend you make reservations weeks in advance if you are) Snowmass: 30 min from downtown Aspen. This is the largest skiing area of the 4 mountains and offers "something for everyone" - friendly to both beginner and advanced skiers/riders.

Question

Any recommendations on lift tickets?

Answer

If you are just planning to ski in the Aspen/Snowmass for the season, we simply recommend you pre-purchase your lift tickets. You can usually get a meaningful discount, particularly if you buy a multi-day package. If you are planning to ski multiple times in the season, please look into the following passes as they both give you access to all 4 Mountains in the Aspen/Snowmass area and 20+ other resorts. Both of these are sold during the pre-season (Apr - Nov 2023 for the '23/24 Season) and are no longer offered once the season begins in December: - IKON Pass: Gives you 5-7 days in Aspen/Snowmass depending on the pass you purchase - Mountain Collective: Gives you 2 days in Aspen/Snowmass

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Aspen, Colorado weather in December typically has a high in the 30s and lows in the 20s (Fahrenheit). Snowfall levels will vary year by year but by December, there will generally be existing snowpack and skiable terrain. Please be prepared for the chance of snowfall as well. Don't forget to pack sunglasses! Despite the cold weather, there are plenty of bright sunny days, and the snow will reflect sunlight quite a bit.
