FAQs

The Wedding Website of Ty Ray Butler and Terri Demetrice Bell
If you have any other questions other than what we have listed below, please feel free to reach out either the bride, groom, or travel agent, Katheryn Marshall, at 301-412-3032.
Question

When should I book & RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4 P.M. We expect for everyone attending to be seated no later than 3:30 P.M. the day of the wedding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The attire for our wedding is Semi-Formal/Formal. Options for women include floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses or dressy pantsuits. For men, options include tuxedos, suits or shirts and ties. Please refrain from all ivory or white dresses or suits, jeans, t-shirts or sweats. We are asking that all guests wear nude/brown to the wedding ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes...as long as he/she has been added to your RSVP. Make sure you reach out to the bride/groom when doing so as there will be a limited number of seats for the wedding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcomed to join in our celebration. There are child rates available when booking through the Travel Agent.

Question

Where will the locations of the wedding and reception be held at the resort?

Answer

The wedding will be held at the Secrets Garden venue and the reception will be held at the beach.

Question

Are there any other fees that we need to take care of before traveling to Tulum?

Answer

Yes. Mexico has implemented an $11 Visit tax per person over the age of 14. You can visit Visitaxmex to make this payment.

Question

I don't see the specific room on the booking website that I wanted. Is there any way I can request this?

Answer

If you are wanting to request a specific room or night(s) at the resort during your time of booking, you can request specific requests by contacting our Travel Agent, Katheryn Marshall, at 301-412-3032 or you can reach her via email at kathy@thetravelnetwork.org. Do be aware that there is an "Adult Side" of the resort that you can request to stay.

Question

Will the travel agent be providing air fares?

Answer

The travel agent can look into air fares, but will not be able to apply discounts unless there are 10 guests traveling together. That means all 10 have to be boarding the same flight at the same time to receive a discount. If you cannot gather 10 people to fly together, it would be wise to book individually soon after you book your room.

Question

How much will the deposit for the rooms be?

Answer

$150/person

Question

Is a travel protection available?

Answer

Yes. After booking your room, make sure to reach out to our Travel Agent. Let her know you either want the Future Travel Credit or Cash Refund Insurance. The Travel Agent will then apply that insurance to your room payment.

Question

What days are the bride and groom going to be in Tulum?

Answer

We will be in Tulum from January 3-January 9.

Question

What are the rates of the room at the Dreams Resort in Tulum?

Answer

Please take a look at the next tab "Travel/Booking". There will be a link where you can start the booking process of your room and the prices of the room will be available there.

Question

How far is the resort from the airport?

Answer

85 minutes. Transportation will be included when booking for rooms.

Question

Do I need to bring tips for the workers at the resort?

Answer

It is highly advised that you do bring cash to tip the workers at the resort. The more you tip the more friendly they will be!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in Tulum during January is usually somewhere between the 70s and 80s. It would be wise to bring an umbrella as showers come and go in Tulum. Be sure to take a look at the weather forecast 2 weeks prior to the trip.
