Getting There You can fly into either LAX or Burbank. LAX typically has more direct flight options. • LAX → Porter Ranch: about 23 miles (plan for 45+ minutes on average) • Burbank Airport → Porter Ranch: about 12 miles (around 30 minutes on average) From LAX (Read This Before You Land) If you are NOT renting a car, here’s what to expect: For Uber/Lyft/taxi, you will need to take a shuttle from your terminal to the designated rideshare pickup lot. It’s… an experience. If you order Uber Black, you can skip all of that — they pick you up directly at the terminal outside baggage claim like civilized humans. Easier (and Often Cheaper) Option The LAX FlyAway Bus to Van Nuys is a great alternative. • $12.75 each way, per person • Skip the rideshare chaos at LAX • From Van Nuys, grab an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to Porter Ranch In our opinion, this is often easier and more cost-effective than dealing with LAX rideshare (unless you’re going Uber Black).
