The first pages of our story began when my parents and her parents started praying for our future spouses. With a divine pen in hand, God masterfully wrote a plot with hardships, humor, and heroism. The beginning of the story unfolds with brace-faced, 17-year-old me walking through the doors of my best friend's church, only to find a poodle skirt princess named Savannah Novella Crosby. I loved her more with each conversation and haven't stopped. Christ, the Author of Salvation, was now writing the story of our love, which He had planned long before.
"Embark with me on love’s voyage, A wondrous thing: holy marriage; What love we’ve found to hold and cherish! This love—a crown-not soon to perish. Stay close to me on stony paths, As I lead you on your behalf; Love to keep without condition— Loving in our Maker’s Image. Our Bridegroom He through ev’ry fire, Deliv’rance found without retire; ‘Long with a cross, will you now carry, Covenantry: my hand to marry?" —SHE SAID 'YES'!
