As an older and occasionally wiser brother, Sumner always led me by example. Sumner and I are constantly getting our hands dirty whether it is cutting and stacking firewood back home in Vermont or spending days off restoring our childhood boat! In addition, Sumner and Hannah are parents of our beautiful niece Margaret Fisher! Sumner is one of the most loyal people I know, and I couldn’t be happier to have him standing by my side on the day. Keep an ear out for his best man speech, which will no doubt be filled with embarrassing tales from our childhood!

Rose is my beautiful future sister- in law! From the moment we met, she welcomed me into the family with open arms and made me feel right at home! This woman is very sweet, considerate, and welcoming. I admire and am so thankful for Rose and her savvy fashion sense! Even in zero degree weather she will have the most beautiful outfit on. Rose and Teddy (Carters brother) have a beautiful baby girl named Niamh! Carter and I love our Niece Niamh more than anything. I adore Rose and am so thankful for her!
Teddy Fisher

Teddy is my older brother, and I am very happy to say Groomsman! Teddy and I had a close relationship as brothers from a young age. We share so many common interests, mainly around our love for playing rugby. Through it all, and especially during these last couple of years, we are becoming, and have become, really good friends. Teddy and Rose Fisher have a beautiful daughter Niamh who is one of our adorable niece's. If there is one thing I know about my brother it is that he will always be there when I need him and I am very thankful for him and am glad for him to be a part of such a big event in my life.

Hannah is not only my future sister-in-law, but also one of my dearest friends. She is independent, funny, and hardworking. Hannah and Sumner(Carters brother) are the parents of our beautiful niece Margaret, who we love so much. Something I love about Hannah is her ability to cheer me up when I am having a tough time, she is like a big sister to me. Hannah is an amazing woman and it has been so fun getting to know her over the years. I am so grateful to have Hannah in my life!

Our protagonists Sam & Carter story begins on the unforgiving streets of the Newport Yachting Center. On a bright, sunny morning, fate would pair these two unlikely men together as co-workers. From then on, they developed a deep friendship and bond over mega yachts, Obrien's mudslides, Miller Lite and a shared love for the Parente sisters. There's one thing I know for sure- our love for miller light will continue to bond us for years to come! And yes, he introduced the happy couple. He gets a seat at the table. Looking forward to having the future brother-in-law stand with me as a groomsman.

The west coast to my east coast! I met Beth when I was 1 year old, little did I know the kid across the street would turn out to be one of my best friends. Together we share the best childhood memories; sharing the same bus stop from K-12, building treehouses, trick or treating, summer days by the Parente's pool and winter nights at the Peterson's hot-tub! Now with Bethany living on the West Coast in SF when we do catch each other, most of our conversation revolves around planning the next time we will see each other! Bethany is the kind of friend that will be by your side to support you through the highs and lows of life. I feel incredibly lucky she gets to stand by my side on my wedding day! Fun Fact, I even stayed back to be in Bethany's grade!

The Brother in Law! Like his sister Jess, he is the life of the party! Even though he likes the Giant's, we still allowed him to be in the wedding, just kidding! He is the only groomsmen who has seen the Bride through all her stages... awkward teen years and everything in between. Mike's enthusiasm and support for us is endless and I can't wait for him to be a part of the big day! I am so excited to become part of the Parente family and getting to call Mike as a brother-in-law is one of the big reasons why.
Brigid Shea

Brigid and I have known each other since the day we were born. We have been through everything in life together. Growing up we were attached at the hip. In fact, we are so close we combined our last names and called ourselves "Par-Shea" and we even called one another "soul-sisters". We have spent every winter skiing at cannon mountain, starting in ski school and now skiing the black diamonds together. I feel so privileged to have Brigid and the rest of the Shea's as a second family. Everyone needs a friend like Brigid, she is smart, funny, loyal, and will have your back until the end. Brigid is the best friend a girl could ask for and I can't imagine my wedding day without her by my side.

Sam and I were great friends from the moment we met. Started on the Rugby field and continued throughout our college years. Sam is always even-keeled and incredibly helpful, he is always there when you need anything. He is usually the first person to call me out on my nonsense, be it fantasy football banter or my inconsistent golf swing on the course. One things for sure, he is always down for a good shred but will always eat my dust on the slopes. Looking forward to having him as a groomsman to keep me in check on my wedding day and throughout life.

Kayla is like an older sister to me. I always used to joke around that our family adopted her because she basically lived with us most of our school years. She’s been with me through all of my big life moments. I think if you were to look at the percentage of laughs throughout my whole life at least 50% would be in the company of Kayla. Probably because out of all the ridiculous situations I've been in, about 99% occurred when I was with Kayla. The amount of stories that we have built up over the past decade is impressive and every one of those stories brings a smile to my face today. I am so excited you said yes to being a part of my biggest story so far and standing with my on my wedding day! I cannot imagine saying I do without you by my side.

Steve and I lived across the hall from one another our freshman year at college. Shortly after that we became great friends and ended up being roommates fort the next three years. Steve has always been the backbone of keeping the crew together, he is always keeping us well fed with his classic homestyle Italian dinners. Though Steve is one of my favorite people, I did have some reservations having him as a groomsman - Steve is the most stylish person I know and I'm concerned that he'll look better than me at the wedding.

She's my cousin, but she's more like my sister. We are iconic for giggling about the chaos that ensues at every family event. The good kind of chaos, that is! Katelyn and I share the same passions in life; helping people, eating delicious food and being in bed before 9pm. My cousin Katelyn has always been someone so special to me. While I was growing up I was obsessed with her, and truly thought there isn't anything she can't do, and I still think that. She is the most determined, kind, and funny person. Katelyn is a woman who knows what she wants in life and is pursuing it. I am always blown away by her caring and affectionate heart. We've been through it all together. Life simply wouldn't be the same without her!

Luke and I met freshman on the RWU Rugby team and ended up being in the same math class. That Semester was just the beginning of a never ending story of bromance and mischief. A completely perfect harmony of Bud Light and conference championships. If there was work to be done there was a 100% chance we were doing something else far less important to waste time together. I've always admired the the positive energy that Luke brings to any and every situation, be prepared for a laugh and watch out for him on the dance floor. I can't wait to have him by my side as a groomsman this August.

Annie and I met in Freshman year advisory and hit it off, throughout high school we were practically inseparable! We've matured from high-school packed lunches to charcuterie and wine nights. She has been there for all the bad fashion decisions, life drama, the high school/college parties...EVERYTHING. I've heard if you stay friends for 10 years you'll be friends for the rest of your lives and I'm so blessed to have someone like Annie as a forever friend. Annie helped shape me into who I am and I can always count on her to give me the most raw advice, and the best laughs. My favorite thing about Annie is her infectious fun-loving personality. You can expect she will be the first one on the dance floor, and the last one to leave it!

I first met Nairi in nursing school at a study group. The next day she approached me at the library and told me she thought it was super annoying I attended the study group when I got an A on the test. I taught her my ways and she passed the next exam with flying colors....we have been best friends ever since. College would not have been the same without her. I can talk to her about anything and we have the best laughs over a glass of Pinot Noir. Full disclosure, I called her Nyra on accident for the entire semester. Nairi is not only reliable, caring, and funny, but she is also the person that I can go days without talking to and always pick up right where we left off. She has been an amazing companion throughout all these years. I cherish our friendship and her beautiful, strong heart!

Jalyn and I met in highschool! We have shared many memories together throughout high school, college, as well as sharing an apartment post college downtown Newport! Now she lives less than a mile from my apartment so we get to see each other all the time! One of our favorite things to do is an afternoon walk around town (especially when it snows). We are always spending Monday nights together watching the bachelor where we enjoy the best cheese, snacks and wine! I love how Jalyn is always up for an adventure! I know I can call her at any time and she will be ready to do anything I feel like doing! I feel so lucky to have a friend like Jalyn!

What can I say about my mom? She has been my best friend, my rock, my mom, my everything! She’s the first person I call whenever I have news, good, bad or otherwise. Whenever I need someone, she is the one who is always there for me. Throughout life, she has stood by my side as a mom but also as a best friend (alot of people even mistake us for being sisters lol). She is truly the best Mother in the World!

In life, there have been many blessings - one of the greatest of those blessings is my MUM. If you look closely, many of the best qualities in me can be traced right back to her. What could be said about the perfect woman that hasn't been said in birthday cards, mother's day cards, etc. She is an amazing woman with a go-getter attitude who loves her kids more than life itself. Always smiling, forever positive and is the life of the party. I am so thankful to have such a supportive mother like Mary.

Another description that has been so difficult for me to put into words how much my dad means to me. He has taught me that life may be hard, but that if you put your mind to it and "just believe" then everything will always work out. He set the bar extremely high for what the definition of a true man is and how he treats a lady and how he raises a family. I am happy to fall into the cliche that women look to marry someone like their father, because Jack is the best father a girl could ask for, and Carter is the best man I could have ever dreamed of.

A man's greatest mentor is his father. Instilling core values of honor, respect, and kindness since childhood, Ted has built his family on a solid foundation of hope, hard work, and unconditional love. My Dad is one of the most impressive people I know. Ted has taught me so much in life, from teaching me how to sail across the Atlantic Ocean at the age of 7 to teaching me all his wisdom on the ski slopes. I am so thankful to have a dad like you Ted.
