The Sugarbush Health & Recreation Center, located near the Village at Lincoln Peak is a fully appointed year round health and fitness facility. If you are looking to work up a sweat or just want to relax, the SHaRC offers indoor (year round) and outdoor (seasonal) pools and hot tubs, cardio equipment and free weights, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, squash, racquetball, a rock gym, ping-pong or half-court basketball, a co-ed steam room, and complete locker rooms including a dry-heat sauna in each.
Located right in the base area of Lincoln Peak, both the zipline and bungee trampolines are great options to get the family out and about and trying something new. Our zipline takes you flying over the base area while the bungee trampolines allow you to jump to your heart’s desire while being harnessed in, sending you much higher than backyard trampoline! Both are accessible with our Summer Adventure Passes.
Sugarbush now has trail bikes and electric "E bikes" available to rent. Explore new woods trails at Lincoln Peak and Mt Ellen or take trail bikes off campus and experience the many trails the Mad River Valley has to offer! Bikes available to rent by reservation only for the weekend or Monday through Friday at discounted summer rates.
The Mad River harbors a collection of first-class swimming holes, including a long-time Vermont favorite, Warren Falls. The pools below the falls are spacious and full of clear green-tinted water. Cliff jumping is a true past-time here, and you would be hard-pressed to find a safer spot to partake in this activity. Of course, cliff-jumping always carries a high degree of risk, so use caution if you decide to join the conga-line of jumpers often seen here during the warmer months. The falls themselves, a series of several small plunges, are mostly overshadowed by the allure of the pools and the striking gorge walls. Despite the crowds that are likely to be here on summer weekends, there is always enough room for all to savor this jewel of a natural attraction.
The market takes place on the Mad River Green in Waitsfield, Vermont on Saturdays from 9 to 1, from the middle of May through the middle of October. You can find fresh produce, plant starts, fruit trees and bushes, maple, honey, flowers, seedlings, eggs, meat, cheese and other farm products. We have a large selection of crafts made in Vermont, baked goods, and prepared food.
The Mad River Taste Place is a retail store dedicated to showcasing products from the makers and growers of the Mad River Valley and all throughout Vermont. Here you will find high quality, handmade artisan food and drink and can learn about the people behind these products.
Mad River Distillers ferments, distills and bottles all of its spirits in Vermont from local and fair trade ingredients. We specialize in apple brandy, whiskey and “whiskey drinker’s rums!” Our rums are made from 100% demerara sugar, not molasses. They are aged in NEW oak and NEVER back sweetened. Our whiskey mashbills contain unique grains, including oats, chocolate rye and maple-wood smoked barley. Our seasonal apple brandy is aged in new oak for an American spin on a European classic.
