We are home to a number of endangered and threatened species, including cheetahs, leopards, male non-breeding lions, servals, caracals, African wildcats, wolves, meerkats, and a Siberian tiger. Our project takes in rescued animals from the local area, so we also have various animals from time to time, including two dwarf goats and some chickens. We offer visitors a once in a lifetime opportunity to come on an educational tour and learn about our animals, see them up close, take some amazing photos, and learn how you can join us in the fight to protect these precious species.
The Mabalingwe biome, made up of 8 500 hectares of bushveld, provides wonderful game-viewing opportunities year-round. Experience a calm herd of elephants making their way through the thicket, snapping twigs and rumbling the earth below their heavy soles. Spot the wildebeest and plains zebra huddled together, grazing peacefully, on the open savannah and finish the day watching the sunset on the horizon, as the air cools and nocturnal creatures creep out from hiding.
Elephant bath : This experience only available if you do the Elephant Interaction experience. You will have the opportunity to spend some of our Gentle Giants in the water while brushing & bathing them (with a bit of splashing thrown in). Educational experience: Meet our herd of elephants and learn all about them from trunk tip to tail, as well as their unique personalities, abilities, intelligence, quirks etc. You’ll get to meet all the elephant’s and learn all about them in a wonderful immersive educational experience Nature walk: Head out with the herd after the interaction to spend a little more time getting to know them a lot better! Here you’ll see the wild side of the elephants as they free-range feed, frolic, drink, dustbathe and enjoy the 300-hectare wildlife reserve.
