The Taos Pueblo has been occupied for over 1,000 years by Native Americans who continue to live and practice on the land. While this area is undoubtedly historical, it is also deeply spiritual. If you visit, please be respectful of both the past and active customs of those who have lived and worshiped here. Tours run all day, on roughly the half hour mark, and are led by those persons from the tribe.
For those who may not be skiing but want to take in everything the area has to offer. Truchas is a small town on the Taos High Road, known for its phenomenal artisans.
