Things To Do

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

Pike Place is big, be prepared for a lot of walking and crowds. Some of our favorites include a used book store and the comic/novelty store! You can also stop at the first ever Starbucks if you like waiting in line for coffee.

Seattle Aquarium

1483 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98101
, (206) 386-4300

The Aquarium is such a fun place to check out! There are so many different marine animals and it's a great way to spend a few hours.

Pacific Science Center

Pacific Science Center

200 2nd Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109
, (206) 443-2001

Love science? Check this place out! A great place to take kids, or just adults! Taylor got to touch a sheep's brain here one time. There is a planetarium here where you can watch laser light shows. This is literally next to the Space Needle

Space Needle

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

The Space Needle is a well known attraction here in Seattle. Neither of us have ever been up it, but it's still cool to see and has a gift shop underneath.

Fremont Troll

Fremont Troll

Troll Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103
, (206) 684-2489

Everyone seems to love the Fremont Troll. Taylor has never been, but Kelsey recommends checking it out! This is in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You with Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles.

Museum of Pop Culture

325 5th Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109
, (206) 770-2700

This place is amazing. The Experience Music Project is never a bad time. Fun fact: From the sky this building is said to look like a melting guitar!

Volunteer Park

1247 15th Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98112
, (206) 684-4075

This is a pretty park if you just want some place to hang. If it's not raining - or if it is - feel free to check it out! Bruce Lee is buried here.

Marymoor Park

6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast, Redmond, WA 98052
, (206) 477-7275

This is a fun park, and outside of the big city if you aren't comfortable driving there!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

311 West Kincaid Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273
, (360) 428-5959

We went on one of our first dates to the Tulip Festival. This happens every weekend in April, so if you are staying for a while it is worth checking out!

iPic Theaters

16541 Northeast 74th Street, Redmond, WA 98052
, (425) 636-5601

If you buy the seats in the back, not only do they recline but you also have waiters that serve you food and drinks. It's amazing. We went here to see Beauty and the Beast for our one year anniversary!

Capitol Hill

Seattle, WA

Want to check out our favorite part of Seattle? Capitol Hill, my friends. Many local pride events are held in this area, including some of the bigger events during Pride weekend in Seattle. Stock up on your rainbows! There are a ton of amazing shops and places to eat!

Coastal Kitchen

429 15th Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98112
, (206) 322-1145

Go get breakfast here, it's amazing. Get the hash browns, thank us later. Vanilla latte? Add that to your list. Don’t forget the gingerbread waffles. Be prepared to gain 10 lbs.

Dick's Drive-In

115 Broadway East, Seattle, WA 98102
, (206) 323-1300

Put some Dick’s in your mouth! Cheap burgers and such! People are going to ask you for money or food here. It is your choice how you respond. This place is cash only!

Unicorn

1118 East Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98122
, (206) 325-6492

This is a bar. I wouldn't call it a gay bar, but it's in Capitol Hill. Taylor has been here twice, Kelsey has gone 3-4 times. Look. We don't party, but this place is pretty cool if you like this kind of thing.

Cafe Mox

Cafe Mox

5105 Leary Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107
, (206) 436-0540

There are two of these, one is located in Bellevue, WA. Board game store/restaurant. You can bring your own game or borrow from Mox for a great time playing board games and eating food.

AFK Tavern

1510 41st Street, Everett, WA 98201
, (425) 259-0525

Board games, food, ultra nerdy decorations. Can't go wrong.

Half Price Books

Half Price Books

15600 Northeast 8th Street, Bellevue, WA 98008
, (425) 747-6616

You can find these all over, but the one in Bellevue is Taylor's favorite so far. Used book paradise.

The Museum of Flight

9404 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA 98108
, (206) 764-5720

AIRPLANES!!! No seriously, this place is way cool. If you are capable of riding some of the simulators, we recommend it!

Woodland Park Zoo

5500 Phinney Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103
, (206) 548-2500

This is great for kids and adults. This zoo is way cool, and is very much worth checking out. There is also a creepy bug thing that Taylor regrets going into because spiders. We bought our first plant together here.

Green Lake Park

7201 East Green Lake Drive North, Seattle, WA 98115
, (206) 684-4075

Kelsey says this is a pretty park, so you will have to trust her! Needless to say it's a park so it's gotta be neat.

Ballard (Hiram M. Chittenden) Locks

3015 Northwest 54th Street, Seattle, WA 98107
, (206) 780-2500

The locks link Puget Sound with Lake Union and Lake Washington. It allows passage of boats as large as 760 feet long to pass through. Freshwater is exchanged with salt water. This is a cool thing! Kelsey likes it!

Juanita Beach Park

9703 Northeast Juanita Drive, Kirkland, WA 98034
, (425) 587-3300

Excellent place for playing Pokémon Go! Tons of poke stops on the boardwalk! Seriously though, this is where we spent a lot of our first summer together!

Flatstick Pub

15 Lake Street South, Kirkland, WA 98033
, (425) 242-1618

Drinking and mini golf! Check groupon for a special! We have four cups from this place, because nothing says adult like pub glassware. There is also a bar across from this called Vovina, which is where we had our second date. Delicious tater tots.

urban COFFEE lounge

9744 Northeast 119th Way, Kirkland, WA 98034
, (425) 820-7788

This was the location of our first date!

, (206) 464-6400

Ferries are cool, and you can explore some more of Washington!

Mount Rainier National Park

WA
(360) 569-2211

This is Taylor's favorite place in Washington. Since it will be April, parts of the park may be closed due to snow.

Sykart Indoor Racing Center

17450 West Valley Highway, Tukwila, WA 98188
, (425) 251-5060

Go karts! Neither of us have been here but it's closer to Black Diamond than some of the other places.

349 Tukwila Parkway, Tukwila, WA 98188
, (206) 244-4359
