Sarah’s is Jen’s oldest friend! They met when they were 4 years old, in kindergarten at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Waldorf. Sarah tried running away when Jen introduced herself but Jen insisted on being friends. Jen is the godmother of Sarah’s son, Bradley.

Amber and Jenny (aka Anga and Janga) met in the 2nd/3rd grade! Jenny’s mom babysat Amber and her sister. Many afternoons and weekends were spent developing their own language, starting a small business, and driving their moms crazy. Jen is godmother to Amber’s daughter, Jocelyn.

Megan and Jenny became close friends in middle school when Megan moved back from Washington State. They survived the most awkward pre-teen and teenage years together. Think bright pink lipstick, butterfly clips, middle school crushes, and clear mascara.

Sara and Jen met in nursing school in 2006! They wouldn’t have made it through without Jesus and each other. Sleepovers, lemonade stands, and Bible study are some of their favorite memories.

Kate and Jen became friends in 2010 at Children’s! They spent about 400 hours together has preceptor/orientee and went from being nurses on Medical Care to 7 East to the Pediatric ICU, where they still work now! Kate is mom to Addison and Jen’s godson, Wesley.

Megan and Jen met at Children’s on 7 East in 2012! From DC to Maryland to Germany and Virginia, their friendship has withstood the test of time and distance.

Dave's first brother. Marvin came into this world when David was 4 years old (to which his mother claims he wasn't happy about...Dave remembers differently). They couldn't be more different, but that doesn't stop them from laughing and loving. When they aren't laughing, or debating about current events, they are spending time with their family, comparing recipes, and trollin their grandma.

One of David's oldest friends. David C and David J met in kids church at the age of 8, where David C's first impression was to tell a dirty he heard in school that week, thinking it was hilarious. David J did not. But that didn't stop them from years of friendship, playing music together, and even being roommates in college. David J moving to Canda with his wife and 4 kids hasn't stopped them from FaceTimes, phone calls, and telling much cleaner jokes...

When Nathan and David first met...they did not like each other. This brought a strange competitive streak out in Dave where he thought he could challenge the state record-setter in both football and weightlifting in wrestling matches that often left him on his back (for the record, Dave feels confident today.) Over the years their friendship grew into a brotherhood, and Dave couldn't be more grateful for such an amazing friend.

Like an older brother to Dave, Jeff and Dave have known each other for 15+ years from playing in youth group band together, working summer camp, and spending endless hours one-upping each other on who can send the funniest memes. Jeff lives in Charlottesville with wife and four kids, and pastors Skyline Church where Dave tries to visit a couple of times a year.

Heather is the discipleship pastor at National Community Church, where Jen and Dave both attend. Dave has known Heather since 2014 and Jen first met Heather on an NCC trip to Israel in 2017. Jen and Dave love going to the Zempel’s every Sunday night for family dinner.
