Question

Why is all of the food vegan? Why is all of the food vegan?

Answer

Eating a nutritionally complete vegan diet is a very kind thing do for animals, the planet, and our bodies. For more information about why we are so passionate about eating this way, see the resources below: Because we believe that animals should not be tortured, even for food: https://www.aspca.org/protecting-farm-animals/problem-factory-farming https://ourworldindata.org/animal-welfare Because we care about the environment: https://ourworldindata.org/global-land-for-agriculture https://eatforum.org/content/uploads/2019/07/EAT-Lancet_Commission_Summary_Report.pdf Because it's healthy: https://food-guide.canada.ca/en/ https://nutritionfacts.org/explore/ Because it's fun and delicious: https://www.pickuplimes.com/ In the words of Henry Beston, "In a world older and more complete than our own, [animals] move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never reached, living by voices we will never hear. They are not our brothers; they are not our subordinates; they are other nations, caught with us in the net of life and time, companions of the splendor and fatigue of the Earth." We appreciate your openness to sharing a delicious vegan meal with us on our wedding day. We hope that our food choices will symbolize joy, compassion, action, and abundance - values that we aspire to uphold in our marriage.
