If you're looking to see some wildlife and don't mind a little drive out of town, this is the perfect day trip. It is about 45 minutes from Missoula and has options for different loops you can drive to see the animals that inhabit the area. The road is gravel, but is easy to drive on in any vehicle.

The "M" trail is a very popular hike in Missoula. From the top there is a nice view of the college campus, as well as the whole town. It is a pretty short hike, but the switchbacks are steep. Access the trail on the University of Montana campus.

The carousel in Missoula is a great stop for kids and adults who enjoy being dizzy! There is also a really neat playground right next door called Dragon's Hollow.

The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula is in the same complex as our wedding venue and is a great place to learn about Missoula's history. The museum is a walking museum that allows you to go into several old buildings throughout the campus.

Our wedding venue is at the fort, but there is much more in the complex than just our venue. There are numerous sports fields, several playgrounds and a sizeable dog park.

The good food store is probably our favorite store in Missoula. It has a deli section with a hot bar, salad bar, and pizza (similar to a whole foods but a little smaller).

Downtown Missoula is a great place to walk around, people watch, eat a meal, and shop! There is also a Saturday morning farmers market that always has lots of food and drink options as well as entertainment and crafts for sale.

Blue Mountain is a great place for anyone to hike. There are plenty of trail options ranging from uphill jaunts to the top of the hill to nice flat trails that wind around the base of the hill.
