Question

Where should we go out for breakfast?

Answer

Missoula has some great options for breakfast. If you're looking for a quick option we recommend Market on Front for their $5 breakfast burritos (and other sandwiches & coffee), Wheat Montana for their cinnamon rolls and breakfast wraps and the Good Food Store for their breakfast hot bar and bagels. If you're looking for a sit down breakfast, we love the Catalyst (downtown), the Trough (near the venue) and Paul's Pancake Parlor (near the mall).

Question

Where should we go out for dinner?

Answer

Top Hat is a great choice because they have a little something for everyone. They use locally sourced ingredients and have a wide variety of both safe and adventurous menu items. Biga Pizza is our favorite pizza place in town, they make all the pizza in their brick oven and have lots of creative toppings. They also have great salads and appetizers. Tamarack Brewing Company is an easy place to go with a group. They have a big selection of menu items and they have large portion sizes! You can't go wrong with their keg nachos! Bridge Pizza is another great pizza option. They have two locations and also deliver. If you catch them during happy hour (3-5 PM) you can get a free beer with a slice of pizza. The Iron Horse has a huge menu and a nice variety of inside/outside seating. They also have plenty of local beer on tap. Lolo Peak Brewery is a little drive out of town but has a great atmosphere. They brew their own beer, have a great food menu and are very kid friendly.

Question

Are there any good breweries in town?

Answer

Yes! We love: Draught Works-They always have new beers on tap. They do not have food, but they will give you free snack mix if you ask for it and often have a food truck outside. Gild-One of our newer breweries, they serve food and have a basement arcade! If you're in the mood for gaming and tacos, this place is perfect. They also have upstairs seating. Conflux- Our other newer brewery, this place has some of the best outside seating in Missoula. They also have a big area inside and are very kid friendly. They have a full food menu as well. Kettlehouse is one of Missoula's original breweries, they have two locations. The Myrtle Street location and their Northside Location. The Northside location is situated right by the train tracks for optimal train watching. The Myrtle Street location is close to big dipper ice cream for the perfect beer and ice cream pairing. Neither serve food. Big Sky- Missoula's biggest brewery-located near the airport for the perfect pre/post flight beer.

Question

What if I'm not the biggest beer fan? Are there other places I should check out?

Answer

Yes! Missoula has three distilleries, one cidery, two tap houses and plenty of bars. All three of the distilleries are great and are downtown. Because of some weird liquor laws in the state of Montana, they can only serve 2oz of liquor to each guest, each day, so these are fun places to check out, but don't plan on staying for more than two drinks. The cidery in town is called Western Cider and is located by the river. They have a nice indoor/outdoor space and great ciders! The taphouses in town are called The Dram Shop and they have a downtown location and a more central location by the mall. Neither have food but you can bring your own food in or have it delivered there.
