This is a mid level hotel with the price per night of $239. The hotel is 25 minutes from Zion National Park and 13 minutes from Zion Zen Ranch. Great location at a great price for Zion. We have also blocked 10 rooms at this hotel as well.

We've booked a block of 10 rooms here. The cost is only $100 per night and is located a few minutes from the Best Western Plus. I have stayed here before. It's not too bad, but it is a budget option. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Zion Zen Ranch (reception location) and 30 minutes to Zion National Park.

Flight

McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas, NV

This the most common way to get to Zion for out of towners besides driving straight (4-5 hours from Southern California and 2 hours to the Zion Zen Ranch). After arriving to Las Vegas, it is approximately 2 hours to the ranch and 2:45 hours to the West Entrance of Zion National Park which is the one we will be using. St. George also has an airport, but not too any direct flights. I do believe most flights will need to fly through Salt Lake City, so the travel time may not be worth it. Since Rob and I are hauling so much with us and then sending a week or so adventuring in South East Utah, the plan in to drive to Vegas, stay one night there and drive the last two hours two hours to the Ranch. There will be many others doing the same, so carpooling may be a great option as well.

Other Accommodation Options

For those of you looking for alternative options for where to stay, the distance between the Zion Zen Ranch and the South Campground is around 40 minutes assuming light traffic and normal gate traffic. The Ranch is located in Leeds. La Verkin and Toquerville are ideal in that they are approximately 10-15 minutes away from the ranch where most of the events are taking place and 30ish minutes to the park. Personally, I’d avoid St. George and Hurricane, even though they are the biggest. They’re not horrible, but do take you off the direct track back and forth from Zion and Leeds. To get from the Ranch to the Amphitheater, from I15, you will take N Hwy 17 to UT-9 E to the South Entrance of Zion NP. You can search all the towns along the way which aren’t many, beginning with Toquerville, La Verkin, Virgin, Rockville and Springdale.
