Alex + Sean- "Allie and Ryan first met at Alex and Sean's Superbowl Party. They had told Allie about Ryan and had told Ryan about Allie beforehand. Alex, being best friends with Allie, wanted her to date Ryan, and Sean, being best friends with Ryan, didn't want Allie to date Ryan. They met during the Superbowl where they realized their mutual love for the Green Bay Packers and Ryan was also lucky enough to meet Allie's sweet and spunky little girl, Holland that night. With Alex and Sean's wedding quickly approaching, Alex was determined to ignite the fire between Allie and Ryan! They were both in the wedding party so naturally it was determined that they would walk down the aisle together. Later that summer, Sean & Alex and Ryan & Allie got together with their friends Tayler & Bruce for Hudson Days. It was a great time and they decided to go to Alex and Sean's house afterwards. On the way back to Parkersburg, everyone sang Celine Dion and Backstreet Boys in the car - everything felt just perfect in that moment. The guys decided to stop at Kwik Star for pizzas, and that was when Ryan made his first bold move. He decided he would make Allie a special slushie - every flavor - a rainbow slushie. As it turned out, half of the slushie ended up on the floor at Kwik Star and it was a beautiful puce color by the time it got to Allie. She was so appreciative that it sat in Sean and Alex's fridge for two weeks afterwards. But in all seriousness, it was that night that was the turning point in Ryan and Allie's relationship. Over the next several months, Ryan, Allie, and Holland built the most precious bond, and they found out they would be welcoming August into their sweet family. Ryan surprised everyone by proposing to Allie ..during the gender reveal ..talk about a whirlwind of emotion! A lot of happy tears were shed as Allie and Ryan, with the support of so many people, have each other to love for all of their days ..and Holland is gaining an absolutely amazing dad in Ryan."
Wild wild day between getting all of the food and decorations ready and one of two life changing events that were about to happen that day. Holding about 20 pounds of meat on a the tray ready to serve I ask Todd to marry Allie. My Mom had the ring with her (so I didn't lose it). We had a pretty smooth hand off if you ask me. Moment of truth and I know exactly when I want to do it (all this time praying for the balloons to be blue). I sneak a peak into the box and see blue!!! My nerves settle a little bit and I wanted it to be a surprise. What guy doesn't? On one knee waiting for her to find me back there and I couldn't even get any words out. I feel actions speak louder than words. To be honest I am not sure to this day if she even said anything but here we are!!! (For the record, I did say "Duh," but I was in such shock that I don't remember anything else. He got me good. <3)
