After sifting through countless swipes, Michelle came across Christian on Bumble. Intrigued by his sense of humor and love for grilled cheese, she knew she had to meet him. Who knew that a dating app could be so useful? Michelle was bold enough to reach out to Christian and they immediately clicked. Christian invited her to a dog park and borrowed his brother's dog, Baxter. Big mistake! While Christian and Michelle began their love story, the same could not be said for the dogs. If you know me, making plans are not my thing, but the proposal was something I thought about for quite some time. I knew it had to be somewhere special and Big Bend National Park was our first trip together. Something else you know about me is that I am not a picture taking person, but throughout the years Michelle had carefully trained me for this moment. Tommy, one of my best friends, lent me his fancy camera and taught me how to use it. As soon as we arrived I immediately began looking for the best view to set up the tripod. I nervously texted my friends asking them if I should just do it under the stars or in the morning for sunrise (The sunrise at Big bend is Michelle's favorite). The next morning came and it also happened to be Michelle's birthday. We went outside to catch the sunrise. Before I could set up the camera in a spot that I had chosen, Michelle wanted to move to a different location down the road. Panic set in and when I finally was set up again Michelle was already standing next to me and ready to go back inside. After convincing her I needed her to go back out there so I could set up the perfect shot, in classic Christian fashion I forgot everything I had planned to say. I told her that I loved her and that I was happy to spend the rest of my life growing old with her and then got down on one knee. She jumped back in surprise and with some tears made me the happiest I have ever been. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
