Travel Note

Curliaq Slough

We want to start by expressing our understanding if travel seems too far, expensive, complicated, or whichever reason for not joining us at our wedding! But here’s a little travel information: Once you’ve arrived to Anchorage, Alaska, you jump onto the next jet out to Bethel, AK. Once arrived there you can either jump on a boat or a plane to Curliaq Slough which is located up the beautiful Kwethluk river. Once you pass the Y it’ll take you approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your motor, until you’ll find a hidden slough on the left side where Leona’s family’s cabin is located. The family cabin is very small, it is only one room with 2 beds in it - but there is plenty of land around it where we will prepare areas to set up tents! Alaska weather is unpredictable so bring clothes for rainy, sunny, and snowy weather! We’ll try to put up signs with arrows to where to go after the Y, but previous years they’ve been tinkered with.
