We met through a mutual friend towards the end of our junior year in the spring of 2019. After getting off to a pretty interesting start, we started hanging out casually that summer leading into our senior year. Our senior year was focused on graduating and our career paths. Between intermittent late-night conversations, funny texts back and forth, and hanging out when our schedule allowed us, we remembered how much fun we had that summer. We started hanging out again and it didn't take long for us to develop feelings for each other. After a dinner date at Red Robin, we made it official.... Facebook official. As of July 5th, 2020 we were dating.
We went to the Oregon Coast for our 3rd anniversary and we were so busy with sightseeing and activities that the 4 days flew by so quickly. I knew a proposal would eventually happen but I didn't think it would happen on this trip. While getting our stuff ready for checkout, he noticed how amazing the ocean looked from our balcony and asked me to join him. We took a break from packing and started watching the waves. He hugged me from behind and apologized for making me think he wasn't ever going to propose. He got down on one knee with a ring box that said " I love you 3000" and asked, "Trysten McKinley Bradley, would you marry me?" I happily accepted with "It's about damn time!!"
