This local stretch of the Arkansas River is renowned for its steep drop, producing famous rapids called "the numbers" and the "miracle mile" and passes by the infamous "Browns Canyon" which is one of the most scenic stretches of the river.
This area offers excellent mountain biking (and hiking) trails for scenic rides or more advanced riders who are up for the challenge!
Our favorite local hike, up about 921' to Brown Creek Falls to cool off in the misty spray of waterfalls or soak in the cold pools...about 6 miles roundtrip!
