Natalie and her childhood best friend Nina were going to Chicago for their annual Nina-Nat BFF Cubs Game Weekend. Troy was in Chicago for a family weekend and made last-minute plans to get bleacher tickets with his cousins Jack and Tommy. Troy repeatedly passed Natalie and started bantering with her at each pass. At one point Natalie moved seats to talk to another friend, and Troy switched seats with Tommy so he could strike up a conversation. They ended up exchanging numbers and met up after the game. The real clincher . . . later that evening, they found themselves at a karaoke bar. Troy started rapping to Snoop Dogg's "Gin & Juice." As Nina describes it, "Natalie's face went ghost white," and Natalie exclaimed to Nina, "I think he's my Spirit Animal!" It turned out to be true . . . Even though we lived on opposite coasts, we followed that magical feeling, and it's been the most wonderful series of Troy-Nat Takeover (TNT) dynamite adventures since then!
