It all began in 2015 at the University of South Florida, where fate (and an academic mentorship program) first brought us together. John, a wide-eyed freshman, and Tristen, one school year older and slightly wiser, was assigned as his mentor within the Bulls Business Community. Over several months, we developed a genuine friendship, built on late-night conversations, the unique bond of being out-of-state students, and a growing connection neither of us could ignore. On November 7, 2015, we officially started dating and haven't looked back since. After graduation, we took a leap together, moving to Chicago in 2019 to start a new chapter in a city where we only knew each other. In 2021, we welcomed our adorable, crazy English Bulldog, Beauregard, into our lives and he has completely stolen our hearts. He's been right by our side on many of our adventures including our favorite vacation spot, Door County, as well as Northern Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Florida. Our upbringings couldn’t be more different—John, raised just outside of the city, and Tristen, the more outdoorsy type—but we've blended our worlds seamlessly. Whether Tristen is found passionately watching a baseball game or John bravely survives a night camping in the great outdoors, we know we’ve found something truly special. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next big adventure with all the people who have shaped our journey. Thank you for being a part of it and we can't wait to celebrate soon!
