Sadly the public transportation on the west coast is pretty bad so renting a car is the best way to get around. SFO - San Francisco International Airport – about 3 hours drive from Trisha’s hometown SMF Sacramento International Airport- just over an hour's drive to Trisha’s hometown. *International flights to Sacramento are often significantly more expensive as you usually change at San Francisco anyway. For your trip we fully recommend flying into San Francisco and renting a car - plus then you get to spend some time in San Fran, Alcatraz anyone?

Downtown Grass Valley- with lots of walkable restaurants, breweries, wineries & shops. 25 minute drive to the wedding venue. 10 minute drive to Trisha’s parents’ place. Walkable to Friday’s Welcome Drinks. Maria’s Mexican is a top favourite for us all- thus the welcome drinks dinner there on Friday! Trisha‘s: Eat: Snacks & a beer at Thirsty Barrel Taphouse Drink: Bloody Marys at Cirino’s or a drink at the gorgeous new Holbrook Bar Do: walk at Empire Mine or Wine tasting at Sierra Star Winery, Avenguardia Winery Lucchesi Vineyards Tasting Rooms in downtown GV. Jon’s: Eat: Breakfast/Brunch at South Pine Cafe. Drink: Crazy Horse Saloon, Nevada City. It’s a blooming cowboy bar! Do: Drive up to Sardine lake for a hike or kayak. (2 hours but WORTH IT!) *We’re hoping to do this the Tuesday after the wedding if anyone wants to join.
