Korea…Vietnam…Korea…Manchester…Wedding in California. Done. Oh TJ says I should add more details… Almost a ten years ago in the spring of 2013, through falling cherry blossoms amidst the crumbling temples of Korea’s ancient capital of Gyongju, Jon first spotted wide eyed tourist TJ. Though now insistent that he knew Trisha was ‘The One’ at that moment, he did spend the subsequent six weeks having convenient excuses whenever she invited him on a first date. Only to be finally wooed by…a marble museum…and a night out with Trisha and Ruby! Two whirlwind months of weekend city-break and beach-trip dating later it was time for Jon to leave and they said their goodbyes. To TJ’s father’s delight, within mere months they were jetting off - jobless and homeless- to the notoriously US friendly city of Hanoi. They insisted it was madness to move in together so soon after reuniting, but did it anyway. Three glorious years of pho, sweat, scooters and more sweat the biggest gamble of their lives had paid off. Bouncing back to Korea, this time they wound up in Seoul, land of the best food and the worst alcohol. A couple of years of conquering mountains and kindergarten concerts later they prepped for the move back to the UK, to head back to uni and get ‘REAL’ teaching jobs. There’s certainly been fewer tanning opportunities and far more clothing in Trisha’s life over here, but the glorious green hills of the peak district we’ve called home have been a spectacular place to keep exploring. We’re so lucky to have had such wonderful places to call home together and we can’t wait for our special day to celebrate together with all of you.
