Tripp and Kristina fell in love attending concerts together. In their first year of dating, they attended over 50 shows, and it didn’t take long for Tripp to realize that if things continued like this, a concert-centric proposal would be inevitable. On a cold February Saturday, Tripp took Kristina into the city for brunch with a friend and a concert later in the night at their favorite venue, Brooklyn Steel. To his relief, Kristina seemed to think this plan was her own idea, which perfectly threw her off the trail. He reassured her that he would plan some additional activities in between brunch and the concert. Tripp told Kristina about a few activities he had arranged, one of them being a “Groupon” tour of Brooklyn Steel’s backstage area. She loved the idea, and thankfully did not ask too many questions about it, instead trying to guess what our friend would be ordering off the brunch menu. Upon arriving at Brooklyn Steel, Tripp and Kristina were greeted by a couple employees who seemed a bit unprepared for and overly enthusiastic about our backstage tour. They meandered from the artist lounge areas through the loading dock to the VIP viewing areas, soaking in some interesting facts, photos, and unique views along the way. When they finally got to the stage for the complimentary “photo on stage” as part of the “Groupon” deal, the tour culminated with Tripp taking a knee and Kristina immediately saying “NO!” (Allegedly in shock) before finally agreeing to marry him.
