The easiest answer is: HEAVEN ON EARTH!! The celebration of the Mass is the source and summit of the Catholic faith. It is where we witness Christ's continuous sacrifice for our sake, and worship him publicly. The Catholic Church welcomes all to its sacramental celebrations. We would be honored to have your full participation in the Mass and encourage you to follow along with the program, which will have more details and explanations for the ceremony. As a witness to the marriage of the bride and groom, you are invited to actively assist in the wedding ceremony through words and actions that show your love and support for the couple.
Attire: Formal. We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day, especially in reverence of the Wedding Mass! Formal attire sits between cocktail and black tie on the wedding dress code. Ladies, it will be springtime in May so colored dresses are encouraged, but not required! Consider a floor length, tea-length, or midi formal dress that is a step above your "Sunday Best." Men are invited to wear suits and ties, and refrain from wearing jeans. Bring a change of shoes to dance in during the reception later if desired, and if you have any questions feel free to reach out!
We respectfully ask that only those who have been given an invitation attend the wedding due to venue space. However, if this answer does not suffice, please reach out to Will and Trinity directly and we would be happy to reassess if there will be room to allow for this!
The Save the Dates included information for RSVPs so you can help us manage our official guest list early! We know that May can be a popular time for graduations and vacation, so we wanted to get on your calendar ahead of time. So yes, please feel free to let us know if you can attend our special day; we're already so excited to celebrate with you!
We are so grateful for any gift from you on our wedding day; your presence alone is all we need to celebrate! We have thoughtfully created and shared a registry through our website and ask that you consider these items first, however, if you know of a better site to purchase something similar or more unique, be our guest! Once again, we are happy to receive your love and prayers on this joyful day, and anything else is a bonus!
Yes! St. Mary's hosts a sizeable parking lot directly adjacent to the beautiful church, so feel free to leave your car there for the ceremony. The Icehouse on Main also features its own parking lot, however, in the event that it is filled up, there are free parking spots lining N. Main Street within easy walking distance. If you wish to drive with others to the reception, St. Mary's is a safe place to leave your car and return to later, as well.
