If you had met Will and Trinity their freshman year of college, you would have seen two energetic individuals who were merely mutual friends. Both were actively involved in their community and often crossed paths at football watch parties, sand volleyball nights, or baseball games with other friends. Trinity had always been impressed with how intentionally Will went out of his way to catch up with her in passing, and Will always walked away thinking about how fun and bubbly she was…and, of course, how cute :) Neither of them anticipated that anything more than a simple friendship might grow between them. In the winter of their third year of college, Will’s charisma and charm earned himself a first date with Trinity. After spending more and more time together, Will took advantage of the perfect opportunity to ask her out (aka his twin had the car and Will needed a ride home). The very next evening, the two of them went on their first date in the lively scene of downtown Bryan’s street festival. Food, live music, and ice cream sandwiches amongst the twinkling Christmas lights made for the perfect first date! A local band called the Southern Degenerates created the groovy atmosphere for Will to teach Trinity how to two-step, and she was literally swept off her feet. From there the adventure began, and the couple learned how beautiful and exciting it was to share countless aspects of their lives with each other. Will introduced Trinity to The Lord of the Rings series, and in return, Trinity made Will watch every single Fast and Furious movie. With little convincing, Trinity roped Will into his first Tough Mudder race, and soon after, they were signed up for the next muddy obstacle course. In return, Will encouraged her to sign up for her first half-marathon, continuously proving to be her number one hype man. Their adventures expanded abroad as Trinity went to study in Germany, and rendezvous-ed with Will in the romantic city of Rome, Italy for a weekend of sightseeing, gelato, and wild scooter rides. Amidst continuously surprising and exciting adventures, the couple maintained a steadfast devotion to their shared Catholic faith and the desire to pursue holy and healthy lives. After experiencing the most peace and joy he’d ever known, Will knew that marrying Trinity would be the best decision he’d ever make. His schemes came to fruition on an early Friday morning when, in the usual whirlwind of dancing together, Trinity came out of a spin to find Will on one knee. She knew that a lifetime with him would mean constant support and affection, continuous growth, unwavering devotion to God, and a never ending opportunity to dance. As their Sacrament of Marriage draws near, they give thanks for the many people who have shaped their character and prayed for their future endeavors. Deo gratias.
