P T's Olde Fashioned Grille
Another UNCW staple- the BEST burger in Wilmington. A little further of a drive (18 minutes from the resort), but totally worth it.
Dockside Restaurant
One of our favorite seafood restaurants! It is on the water, so very pretty scenery as well. Only eight minutes from the resort.
Fish House Grill
Another yummy seafood option! Also on the water! Only seven minutes from the resort.
Oceanic at the Crystal Pier - NC
If you want a fancier seafood meal- we suggest the Oceanic! Try the sangria! It is also located in Wrightsville Beach, so about nine minutes from the resort.
Jimmy's
A UNCW staple! Probably the best known beach bar in Wilmington. Only five minutes from the resort. I recommend the slushy ;) There is a few other beach bars around this area!
The Palm Room
Another well known WB bar!
Wilmington Riverwalk
Just a short drive from Wrightsville Beach, the Wilmington Riverwalk is a scenic boardwalk that winds along the Cape Fear River in historic downtown. Lined with charming shops, cafes, and waterfront views, it’s perfect for a leisurely stroll, a bite to eat, or a sunset drink by the water. The Riverwalk is about 25 minutes from the venue, but worth the drive!
Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier
A Wrightsville Beach landmark, Johnnie Mercer’s Pier stretches out over the Atlantic with beautiful ocean views—perfect for a peaceful walk or a photo op. It’s a great spot to catch the sunrise, watch surfers, or just take in the beach vibes during your stay.
WB Loop
Take a Walk on “The Loop” If you’re looking to stretch your legs while in Wrightsville Beach, The Loop is a local favorite! This 2.5-mile walking path circles through town with water views, ocean breezes, and plenty of charm. It's one of Fin's favorite activities!
Battleship North Carolina
Anchored across the river from downtown Wilmington, the Battleship North Carolina is a World War II ship turned museum. Visitors can explore its decks and exhibits for a fun dose of history—and enjoy great views of the Wilmington skyline along the way. Located about 24 minutes from the resort.
Airlie Gardens
Just minutes from Wrightsville Beach, Airlie Gardens is a beautiful spot filled with oak trees, blooming flowers, and winding paths. It’s perfect for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or simply soaking up the classic coastal Carolina scenery. Located about ten minutes from the resort.
Mayfaire Town Center
Just a short drive from Wrightsville Beach, Mayfaire Town Center is Wilmington’s premier shopping and dining destination. From boutique shops to local eateries and cozy cafés, it’s a great place to browse, grab a bite, or enjoy some relaxed downtown-style shopping. This is actually where Trey and I went for our first date! Red Robin for a burger then saw Top Gun 2 at the movie theater.
