FAQs

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

We’re getting married on October 3, 2026, at the Shell Island Resort! The ceremony starts at 5:00 PM on the beach, with a cocktail hour and reception to follow inside.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 5:00 PM sharp! Please plan to arrive a bit early so you have plenty of time to get comfortable and find your seat before we say ‘I do.’

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our celebration will be on the sand, so we kindly ask guests to dress in beach formal attire — light, airy, and elegant. Think flowy dresses, linen suits, or dressy separates. Wedges, sandals, or flats are best (heels and sand don’t mix too well!). Thank you for keeping it stylish yet comfortable!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We’re lucky to already have a home full of everything we need. Instead of traditional gifts, we’d love your help creating memories on our honeymoon! Contributions to our honeymoon fund would mean the world to us.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent out in a few months. Check back then!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore your little ones! For our wedding day, we kindly ask that only children ages 10 and up join in the celebration — unless they are part of the wedding party. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone! Due to space and planning, we’re only able to accommodate the guests named on the invitation. Thank you for understanding as we celebrate with our closest family and friends!

Question

Where should guests stay?

Answer

We've reserved hotel blocks at the Shell Island Resort where the ceremony and reception will be held. Details and booking information is in the "travel" tab. There are also plenty of Airbnb's in the area, so feel free to stay where you feel the most comfortable.

Question

What is the nearest airport?

Answer

The closest airport is Wilmington International Airport (ILM)- about 25 minutes from the venue.

Question

Are phones allowed?

Answer

We’d love for our ceremony to be an unplugged moment. Please keep your phones and cameras tucked away and enjoy the celebration with us — we promise to share the photos after!
