Maid of Honor
Sophie and Katie met in their intro to Environmental Science class and quickly became each others first env besties;) They were paired with two non environmental science majors and had to slay the group project as a duo. Soon after they become roomies and basically sisters. Sophie is affectionately referred to as Katie's "Big Sexy".
Bridesmaid
Tata is Katie's oldest friend and have been there for all the ups and downs including the transition into adulthood. They met when Katie moved to Wortham School in the 5th grade, throughout middle school and high school they were deemed as "Twins" by their peers. Tata is one of those forever friends, no matter what <3.
Bridesmaid
Siena and Katie met in the Environmental Science program at SFA, and became quick friends after being attacked by hogs during field work for a research project in the piney woods. Siena has been named "Father Siena" because of her wise and sage advice given in any crisis. Even though Siena is extremely busy becoming a climate scientist they still manage to text and talk all the time.
Bridesmaid
Isabella and Kate met when they were placed in the same lab group during Forest Ecology, during that class they were presented with the opportunity to study abroad in the Netherlands. During that trip they got so close, got matching tattoos, and Isabella, Sophie, and Katie got nicknamed the "Tripplets". Isabella is the type of friend to literally quit her job to make your engagement party;).
Ring Bearer
Jack and Katie first met in Forest Ecology, but became dear friends their senior year at SFA when they took almost every class together. They did everything together to survive that last gruesome semester; homework, research, reports, labs, and partying HARD. Even after moving to different parts of the state, somehow they're still intertwined because their bosses are married lol.
Best Man
My brother Nick isn’t just my sibling—he’s my first friend and lifelong partner-in-crime. From childhood adventures to cruising Nashville in his white Lumina or tearing through the city on his four-wheeler, he’s always had my back. Uncle Otis taught me early to be Nick’s biggest fan—especially on Friday nights when the Scrappers were playing—and I’ve stayed true to that ever since. His energy and passion are contagious, and he inspires me every day. If you ever need a DJ who can light up a room, Nick’s your guy—he’s the best in Houston!
Groomsman
Not many fathers get to be groomsmen, but I knew without a doubt I wanted my dad up here with me. He’s been my biggest supporter from day one—always present, encouraging, and involved in everything I pursued. One of my favorite memories is staying up late every Monday as a kid to watch wrestling with him. Even now, we keep making memories, whether it’s watching the Astros or grabbing a bite at Texas Roadhouse. There’s nothing like a father’s love, and I’m so grateful for you, Dad. Love you.
Groomswoman
Kayla is one of my best friends from college and, without a doubt, the smartest person I know. From cheering at SFA basketball games to late-night drives around Nac, she’s been my rock through countless highs and lows—some stories are best left untold! Kayla became like family to me, my home away from home. I know she’s always got my back, and I’ll always have hers. I’m so grateful for her friendship, and if you ever need expert data analysis, she’s your go-to!
Groomsman
Blake was one of the first people I met at SFA, and he quickly became my brother from another mother. Our bond goes beyond friendship—it’s practically family. With his humor and deep spirituality (hence the nickname “Brother Blake”), he’s someone everyone remembers. Whether we’re debating Houston vs. Dallas (Houston wins, obviously) or diving into philosophical chats, time with Blake is always memorable. From tearing it up at the Lumberyard to crashing house parties in Nac, we’ve shared plenty of adventures—and maybe a little “trouble” along the way. Blake is unforgettable, and when you meet him, you’ll see exactly why.
Officiant
Gabby and I became best friends during our last two years at SFA. We spent countless hours on the third floor of the library, tackling everything from therapeutic communication in psych class to EKGs in critical care. Our bond was so strong that we even landed the same job in Houston for our final semester. We were inseparable—partners in studying and in crime. Gabby is one of the kindest, most humble people I know, and I’m so grateful for her friendship. Who better to be our officiant than someone with such a big heart?
Flower Girl
Our amazing adult flower girl is one of Katie and Trey's closest friends! Trey met her in college, and over the years, she became not just a best friend but family. A dedicated teacher with a heart of gold, she's ready to sprinkle love (and maybe some petals) on their big day!
