Our love story begins in a Computer Science class at SFA, where Katie had a serious crush on Trey. The only problem? She was way too shy to talk to him as a nervous Freshman—so what did she do?: offered to do his homework. Genius, right? Trey probably thought Katie was just being helpful, but little did he know, I was only helping him because she adored his infectious laugh! Then, the world shut down thanks to COVID, and we went from seeing each other every day to poof—nothing. We’d occasionally cross paths around campus, but that was about it. Fast forward like a year and a half, and we reconnected through social media. This time, Katoe figured I’d take the plunge and make the first move (maybe there was some liquid courage involved). From then on we were inseparable. And well, the rest is history! What started as a class assignment turned into something way better. Who knew that helping with homework could lead to a lifetime of love?
