We first met during the summer of 2020, right in the middle of COVID. Trevor was home in Lexington for the summer while attending the University of Alabama, and at the time, neither of us realized that we would both end up calling Lexington home long-term. After a summer filled with hiking and plenty of time playing with the Edelen family’s new puppy, Maizy, it became clear that something more was going on than we initially thought. This was especially true, when Trevor was moving Allison into her Senior Year house “The Dam” and he received a phone call from a mutual friend who was trying to rent a room just across the street. Needless to say, Trevor took the room and finished his semester online. One of the smartest decisions he had ever made! From there, our story was filled with late nights at "The Dam," date parties, formals, trips to new national parks, and even getting COVID together. We navigated post-college life side by side, taking on our first jobs, PA school, and quite a few moves. We blended seamlessly into each other’s families and friend groups, especially through the many trips we’ve taken together. Whether it was a five day hike in Peru, exploring the Amazon rainforest, or hiking our way through national parks including our favorites Zion, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Yosemite, and Sequoia, we have made it our goal to see them all! From camping with friends in Canada to trips with family and friends to places like Las Vegas and Hilton Head, the memories have continued to grow. We are so excited for all the future adventures and memories still to come. Now, Trevor has made it through PA school, and in December we purchased our first home together and are planning our wedding! We are incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have supported us every step of the way, and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!
