Meet the Wedding Party

Trévoir J. Hudson

Groom

Today is an epic moment in my life. A moment I've prayed for and dreamed about but I didn't think would happen for me. I wouldn't be the man that I am and able to marry the man that I love without the unconditional love, sturdy support, encouraging counsel, and the listening ears of family and friends. To my BFFs Reggie and LaShaun, you are family. Thank you both for the unconditional love, authentic, non-judgemental, and "straight up with no chaser or filter" friendship. We've shared and experienced a lot of our hopes dreams, fears, accomplishments, setbacks, and disappointments together and we are still here to tell our own stories. I so love and appreciate you both for not allowing nothing to stop you from being present and a part of my wedding day. #RideOrDie4Life

Eric D. Thomas

Groom

Since moving to Houston in 1998, I've been blessed to have met my pillars of light/family of halos. The truism "People come into your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime" exemplifies how I met all of my lifetime pillars, and it lead me to meeting the most loving, caring, adventurous, and blunt man I choose to have as a life pillar. To my family of halos; you've always had my back and held me accountable for my actions, and I'm honored to have two of my most supportive pillars stand with me, my BFF Jevon and my birthday-twin Gayla. Thanks is underrated, but thanks for all you do. To my brother, Jason and parents, Jimmy & Christine in Bama, ya'll have been the pillars in my life that have stood the test of time. Jason would tear up I-10 to get here, but we'll celebrate post-COVID.

Reggie Harrison

Best Man

I met Trévoir in 1995 in Miami, FL when we began our careers as flight attendants with different airlines. I have over 20+ years of fond memories, my fondest was when I was on a layover in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I phoned Trévoir to catch up and he told me he was also on a layover in Amsterdam and checked in the same hotel. It turned out to be one of my most unforgettable layovers and one for our archives. What I appreciate most about Trévoir is his loyalty to our friendship. If I was elected President, Trévoir most def would be my VP because he knows where all the bodies are buried and where all the receipts are stored. Continue to love and support each other. Keep God first and foremost in your relationship. Don't take words of advice from single people like me...LOL.

Jevon German

Best Man

I met Eric in 2003 in Houston, TX. We were introduced to by a mutual friend at a dinner gathering at Saltgrass Steakhouse Restaurant. I have several fond memories of my friendship with Eric. We had some wonderful and epic road trips. My first time visiting Atlanta, GA (2008) with the main purpose of going to his family reunion in Alabama. Let's just say, we never made it to the family reunion in Alabama. That's all I'm saying about that. I appreciate most about Eric is his adventurous spirit and ability to inspire me and others. Eric has inspired me to step outside of my comfort zones and try new things. Eric and Trévoir, continue to love each other. I love you both and wish you both all the best.

LaShaun Cornelius

Best Woman

I met Trévoir in 2006 in Atlanta, GA while dating his brother. It has been an amazing, liberating, enlightening, and mutually supportive 15+ years of friendships. He's part of my family and is Unc to my girls and granddaughter. I have several fond memories of my friendship with Trévoir so it's really hard to choose just one. The one that always comes to mind first, I was instructed not to mention. Our annual outings to House Music in Piedmont Park. It's always full of amazing house music, all-day dancing, laughing, drinking, and reconnecting/meeting people. What I appreciate most about Trévoir is his honesty, genuineness, kind and loving spirit. He's always available to listen, offer support, advise, and have your back without judgment. Be Honest, Be Kind, and Stay Prayerful.

Gayla Wilson

Best Woman

I met Eric in 2004 when we were both serving as ushers at Brentwood Baptist Church. We connected instantly because we share the same birthday (Sept. 3rd). My fondest memory of Eric (there are many) was his 40th birthday surprise party that I hosted. Several of his friends were present and jumped out and screamed SURPRISE...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and Eric screamed and started to shed a tear or two! The thing I admire most about Eric is that he stands in his truth. He is one of the most giving people I know and will do anything for anyone. He perseveres when challenges face him but stays true and grounded to who he is. Marriage takes 100% to work (sometimes more). ALWAYS stand up for what's important in your relationship, respect each other, and never let anyone disrespect your relationship.
