Please RSVP by June 1st, 2023.
Yes! Antigua is one of the safest towns in Guatemala. It's a very popular tourist town, and we feel very comfortable hosting our family and friends there.
We recommend you arrive Monday (10/23), Tuesday (10/24), or Wednesday (10/25) before the wedding. This allows you time to explore and participate in the various activities of Antigua. Then, we recommend you consider departing on Monday (10/30), Tuesday (10/31), or even later. Flights on Sunday morning (10/29) are generally very early, and traffic from Antigua to the airport can be hit or miss. In the end, please do what's best for your schedule! Trever and Kayleigh will be there from Monday (10/23) to Tuesday (10/31).
Purchase your flights as soon as you feel comfortable with the price! From our experience, the best day to look at flights is Tuesdays & Thursdays. The best time to fly is arriving Mon, Tue, Wed and departing Mon, Tue, Wed. We recommend monitoring Google flights. And please note you can use purchase them on your own, or our travel agent, Kim, can assist you. Just email her at kims@harmontravel.com.
Once you book your flights, please email your itinerary to our travel agent, Kim, at kims@harmontravel.com. She will help arrange your private transportation from the airport to Antigua and back. You will need to have money to pay your driver. And please note if you plan to stay in a hotel near the airport before departing home, you can arrange a taxi or shuttle to the airport with your hotel concierge.
Please review the three different hotel options we have under our "Travel" page. Once you find the hotel you like, please email our travel agent at kims@harmontravel.com, and she will help you book your hotel rooms. Please note the room blocks at these hotels are available until April 30th. Otherwise, you're welcome to book an Airbnb or other hotel offerings.
Yes. We recommend doing this ASAP. Passports can take 8-11 weeks. There is an option to pay for expedited processing (5-7 weeks). If you don't have your passport or need to renew it, you can visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html for more information.
Negative. You no longer need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccinations or a negative test to enter Guatemala. Nor will you need them to get back into the United States. Masks are no longer mandatory in Antigua.
There are no mandatory vaccinations needed to travel to Antigua, Guatemala. However, we recommend you speak with your family physician and review the CDC guidelines to make your own judgment, especially if you're traveling outside of Antigua or Lake Atitlan.
Wi-fi is available all around Antigua. When connected to wifi, you'll be able to call and text from your phone. Otherwise, speak with your service provider about travel passes. Verizon offers a travel pass for $10 per day.
The ceremony is at 4:00 pm. The reception will immediately follow and last until 10:00 pm.
Our ceremony will take place inside, and the reception will be outside. There's always a good chance of rain this time of year.
Dress to impress if you'd like. Otherwise, wear something comfortable! This is a semi-formal event.
Of course! But we'll need to know by June 1st, so please include them in your RSVP.
