This was one of our favorite stops on our engagement day and is one of Charlotte's top tourist attractions. The library is a continuation of Billy Graham's ministry where you can learn about his life, explore his childhood home, and see his burial site. Admission and parking are always free. We recommend allotting at least 2 hours for your visit. @thebglibrary
This is one of our favorite places to take out-of-town guests. If you're looking for some outdoor adventure, they have whitewater rafting, ropes courses, hiking & biking trails, a zipline, and flatwater paddle boarding / kayaking. If relaxing is more your thing, there are free outdoor yoga classes & concerts or you can grab a beer and watch the rafters! @usnwc
Just 15 minutes from our venue, Crowders Mountain has lots of hiking options--from strenuous uphill to leisurely flat trails around the lake, there's something for everyone. Enjoy beautiful views, and the weather in April should be beautiful as well! @crowders_mountain
The Rail Trail is a well-maintained walking & biking path along the light rail tracks from South End to uptown Charlotte. Along the trail are several of our favorite restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops (and our church!). Great views of uptown as well! @railtrailclt
Rosie's is an adorable coffee & wine bar located in the McGill Rose Garden. Grab a drink and check out the flowers, graffiti art, and sculptures. Parking can be a challenge, so if you are going in the evening we recommend arriving early. @rosieswinegarden
One of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte! Supperland is located in an old church building in Plaza Midwood and serves some of the best steaks & sides you've ever eaten (order the smashed potatoes with smoked paprika aioli--you'll thank us later). Walk-in seating is available (pro tip: get there early and skip the wait or grab a drink at the speakeasy next door). We love to sit at the bar overlooking the open kitchen. Don't want to wait? Reservations are available for $3 per person. @supper.land
