Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Torey Weatherford

Bride

Torey may have two degrees in accounting from the University of Georgia, but she enjoys her role at home as zoo keeper much more than her day job. When she's not walking the dog or cleaning out litter boxes, she loves going to the movies with Trent. They have been to more than 75 movies together since the beginning of their relationship and they have the ticket stubs to prove it! Torey can't wait to live out her very own romantic comedy with Trent on June 22! Thank you all so much for being a part of our love story!

Trent Pearson

Groom

This guy, am I right? Trent, ladies and gentlemen, is the groom. Trent is the luckiest guy in the world. He gets to marry Torey Weatherford - his dream girl, he's surrounded by the best friends and family imaginable, and he's happily working in collegiate athletics. Since Trent was a young boy he has loved playing sports - football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and even tennis. Many hours have been spent by Trent's family watching him on the field, or the court, or the diamond competing in athletics. Sports do not define Trent, but they dang sure have molded him into the man he is today. Trent would like you all to know how excited he is to join families with the Weatherford's, and how thankful he is that you all will be celebrating our big day.

Jessica Weatherford

Maid of Honor

Jessica is Torey’s younger sister. Can you see the family resemblance? She's intelligent, talented, and "made" of honor! She also graduated from Tech, but we won’t hold that against her. While growing up people used to think Jessica was the older sister. Why, you ask? No idea. Torey has always been the taller of the two, much to Jessica's dismay, and Torey has always been fairly grounded, while Jessica was literally climbing up the walls. Now, graduated from college and at similar stages in life, we can see how Jessica may be pinned as the older sister. She is much better at adulting because she actually "works out" and "cooks"! There may be some things Torey can learn from her younger sister after all!

George Lawrence

CO-BEST MAN

To be honest, we aren't even sure George is his real name. In middle school Trent knew George as "Jermaine," and that just didn't work. Shortly after meeting his name switched to "Jorge," and nobody really knows why. George and Trent have been best friends for over 15 years, much of which was a product of playing sports. Even though Trent is the superior athlete, George never held that against him!

Montana Wood

Bridesmaid

Montana is Trent’s younger, hipper sister. Although she is the youngest of the wedding party, she is wise beyond her years. We love Montana's independent, quirky spirit. Much like Torey, Montana is a huge bookworm. However, Montana hadn't read the Harry Potter books when they met. Can you believe it?!? Since Trent obviously failed his sister, it was up to Torey to introduce Montana to the Wizarding World. She lent Montana all seven books to read and is proud to call her a fellow Potterhead. She is also a terrific Aunt to our animals. They love when Aunt Montana gets to babysit! On a similar note, Montana guilt tripped us out of declawing our cats. Thanks for the scratches, Montana!

Jared York

CO-BEST MAN

Middle school can often be boring. English -Literature classes are often the most boring of the bunch. Thankfully, in the 6th grade, that wasn't a problem for Trent and Jared. Ms. Riddle's class was one of Trent's favorites due to the suspenders wearing, often mistaken for gothic, car loving Jared York. Trent was instantaneously "adopted" as another member of the York family, attending summer vacations to Panama City Beach and constantly spending weekends together. To this day Trent considers Jared, Denise, Kerry, Jeremy, and Rosemary his 2nd family. P.S. - Jared is a wizard with vehicles. If you live in the area of Dallas, Ga and need a vehicle worked on he is your guy! For information please see: https://www.facebook.com/jrodsdiesel/

Brooke Crozier

Bridesmaid

Brooke is Trent's sister and Torey’s soon to be sister-in-law! We love her passionate, goofy self and can't wait to blend our families. Brooke had been hard to please when it came to Trent's past girlfriends, but Torey passed her test with flying colors the first time they met! She has been very supportive of our relationship from the beginning and we are so excited to have her in the wedding! Brooke shares Torey's love of dogs, which can easily be seen through her relationship with her dog, Marley. We love when cousins, Luna and Marley, can play together and get along.

Jesse Lawrence

Groomsman

Trent met Jesse, like many of his other groomsmen, in middle school. He doesn't remember the exact day, but if he were taking an educated guess he would bet it was playing basketball. Trent and Jesse weren't close friends until high school when Jesse started dating his now wife, Lacey. Jesse is a loyal and caring friend that loves his family, his friends, his sports, and his faith. Jesse is also directly responsible for Trent's incredible tennis talent!

Grace Wilson

Bridesmaid

Grace and Torey grew up across the street from each other in Peachtree City. The Wilsons and the Weatherfords were inseparable in the early 2000's from summer vacations to gingerbread house decorating! As the baby of the group, Grace was forced to tag along with whatever game we were playing. Whether it was starring in her brother, Jacob's, homemade films or building forts out of couch cushions, she always made it more ridiculous and fun. Torey considers Grace as a sister and the Wilsons as her second family.

Clifton Blalock

Groomsman

We are hoping Clifton can make the wedding, but he may be busy working on his truck. For those of you who don't know Clifton already, don't worry because you can't miss him at the wedding. When he's not working on some big project (his truck, a wedding venue, pallet wood creations, fixing up houses) he's probably enjoying time with family, hanging with friends, or planning his next project! For any single ladies attending the wedding Clifton is an eligible bachelor that enjoys long walks on the beach, piña coladas in the rain, has 2 advanced degrees in engineering from the University of Tennessee( Go Dawgs, though), and has a great sense of humor!

Marisa Chavarria

Bridesmaid

Marisa is Trent’s stepsister and another soon to be sister-in-law for Torey! There are a lot of sisters up in here y’all. Marisa is always up for a good time and always looks fashionable while doing it. She survived one of Greg Weatherford’s PTC golf cart tours like a champ, and her purse is always stocked with whatever you may need. Marisa already knows the way to Torey’s heart, which was made evident with the Harry Potter book and bottle of fruity wine that she got her for the bridal shower!

Trent Gatzemeyer

Groomsman

Quick, who is the biggest UGA fan you know? If you said Trent, you'd be correct! But it's probably not the Trent you were thinking. Trent and Trent met in 2009 at the University of Georgia. When you live right next door in the dorms to someone you tend to see them quite often. The Trent's probably text each other more than any other two Trents on the face of the planet (No really, it's a bunch!). We aren't quite sure if Trent and Trent have ever spoken without bringing up UGA football or Basketball.... and for a friendship over 10 years strong that's quite the feat! Go Dawgs!

Nicole Kawahata

Bridesmaid

Nicole and Torey were in the same Kindergarten class together and have been best friends ever since! Torey has countless memories of laughing with Nicole in the backseat of the car on the way to soccer practice. Nicole was also the reason that Torey joined track and cross county in high school. Most importantly, Nicole introduced Torey to the first love of her life...Harry Potter. After going with Nicole to the the first and second Harry Potter movies, Torey started reading the books and the obsession grew. At eleven years old, they stood in line at midnight to get the sixth book of the series at Kroger on its release date and fell asleep reading the book out loud to each other. More recently they participated in the Harry Potter pub crawl together in Atlanta!

Alex Phelps

Groomsman

Talk about life-long friendships - Herschel Jones Middle School was clearly good to Trent. These guys have known each other since the 6th grade, growing up in virtually the same neighborhood and riding the bus together to and from school. Starting in 2004, the 8th grade, Trent and Alex also began playing soccer together and have been involved with soccer teams in some capacity every day since. Alex, or more commonly referred to as "Phelps," is the best dang goalkeeper to ever man the net for Paulding County High School. He's almost as good at goalkeeping as he is at being a steadfast friend of Trent's. Like Jared, Alex's family has always treated Trent like another member of their clan. Alex, a very recent New York City resident, is one of the best men Trent has ever met.

Marie Bartlett

Bridesmaid

Torey and Marie were roommates at the University of Georgia. They initially bonded over their mutual love of Harry Potter and vacationing on Amelia Island! After 4 and a half years of living together, there isn't much that Torey and Marie don't know about each other. Aside from Harry Potter, Marie loves The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and can recite the lines from memory. She is an epic dancer and Torey has cheered from the audience at all of her Prelude Dance Ensemble shows. Similarly, Marie has tried her hand (I mean foot) at soccer when Torey's team needed an extra player. Torey misses having a live-in friend to watch all of the TLC and MTV shows with, but Marie is just a text away when big reality TV news hits!

Brady Ellis

Groomsman

Like many of Trent's groomsmen, Brady and Trent have a strong connection to the game of soccer. Trent met Brady ( a HUGE Germany soccer fan ) in his P.E. class at The University of Georgia. According to Torey, Trent and Brady have the strongest Bromance of all. To be fair, it's probably true. Though on separate coasts, Brady lives in Los Angeles and Trent in Charleston, these two have stayed great friends. As the German national soccer team would say: " ZUSAMMEN. GESCHICHTE SCHREIBEN " - Together. We write history! Also, ladies please give Brady a follow on Instagram - he'd really like that! https://www.instagram.com/brady.j.ellis/

Laurel Jo Clarke Sorensen

Bridesmaid

Laurel and Torey became friends in elementary school. You could always find Laurel, Katie, and Torey driving the golf cart around Lake Peachtree in high school and its still their favorite past time when they can all get together. In fact, Torey used to pick Katie and Laurel up from seminary on the golf cart on the way to school. Laurel didn't have a golf cart of her own so she always jumped at the chance to be the driver! Laurel was the first of Torey's friends to get married, and Torey was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. We are so excited that she gets to return the favor and be such an important part of ours!

Jason Miller

Groomsman

Another friend since Trent's Herschel Jones Middle School days, Jason has been a steady presence in Trent's life. Also, another friend that has been entrenched in Soccer with Trent, from playing together at Paulding County High School to attending Atlanta United matches in Atlanta. Jason, a Georgia Institute of Technology graduate, is easily one of the people Trent can count on most when needed. Even though Jason is the quiet type, don't let that fool you, as this guy is one of the smartest people you'll ever meet. No kidding, Jason, is probably even smarter than the groom! (Okay, he's definitely smarter...)

Katie Trusty Hein

Honorary Bridesmaid

Laurel introduced Katie to Torey in middle school. If you couldn't find us on the golf cart, then we were probably in Katie's kitchen making chocolate chip cookies or swimming in her pool! Like many of Torey's LDS friends, Katie left GA for BYU in Utah. After a few semesters, Katie went on a year and a half mission where letters and weekly emails were the only communication allowed between Katie and friends or family. Although it was hard to be away from a best friend for that long, Torey loved hearing how Katie was doing on her mission and cracked up when the weekly email often turned into 5 emails sent in a row with titles like "Aaand another thing" or "Last one, I promise!" Unfortunately, Katie is living abroad and won’t be able to make the wedding. Yay for long distance friendships!
